Wa-hooooo! It's the back-half of the week! :cb:
Leenie - Hope the cramps get better! Try doing some ab work. It gets the blood flowing into those muscles and makes the cramps much better. ;) Jane - I'm sitting over here giggling at you. That's how I felt yesterday! I don't normally smoke unless I'm out drinking but sometimes going out drinking equates to an entire pack of cigarettes! :smoking: So when I wake up and my voice is all deep, I decide that I just sound remarkably sexy and all day when I answer the phone, I say, in my sexiest, smoke-induced voice 'Student Affairs. Would you like one?' :D Rachel - I hope the bloodwork goes well! It can be so frustrating when the weight just won't move! TG - Happy training! That's pretty decent pay for it. Let's go shopping! ;) Brenda - Glad you had fun yesterday! And OP or not, miles is miles. Count them! Herb - you found us, you handsome man, you! (see? shameless flirting as promised!) My eating yesterday was bizzare. It was all low carb, but so not the right things to eat. I had a breve in the morning and then forgot about food. Lunch was a subway wrap. Then I went out after work to pick up supplies for my dad's fathers' day present and neglected dinner. My mother called me and told me that she was going to a friends to pick raspberries and did I want to go? Of course! I love raspberries and I love berry picking and I love my mom. So off I went. Berry picking was great fun and I ate enough to make me wonder if I was going to be sick. Then I discovered some bing cherries so I had to eat a few of those too. Then I had part of a pepperoni stick and by then it was almost 11:00 so I headed home. Once there, DH and I decided that we were hungry so I tried one of my new english muffins AND had a little cheese quesadilla. UGH! I feel all bloated today! Silly me! And I have to tell you about my dad's fathers' day gift because I can't stop laughing over it. It all started about a month ago when I found an oh-so-cute 'grill master' apron. So I bought it thinking it would be a good father's day gift for my daddy. Then DH got the brilliant idea that we should make my dad an entire grill kit. So here's what we've got in it: Apron Matching oven mit Welding mask with flame stickers on it Fire extinguisher Burn gel Burn spray These things that look like little condoms for burns on your fingers Gauze bandages A whole pile of take out menus I want to add a few more things, but I'm still trying to decide what they could be. I told my mom about the kit last night and she was cracking up. It's going to be especially great because she's getting him a new grill. |
Star: that's too funny!!!
Ok gang, It's my very first princess day at the spa and I am soooo nervous. I've never been to a spa before. I dunno how to act or what to do or what to wear underneath those robes they give you! ACK ACK ACK! Maybe I'm not cut out to be a princess after all |
Star: :lol3: That is too funny! I love that idea! I may have to use that one someday!
Rhonda, deep breaths now. Of course you'll go! And you'll love it. You've earned this. You deserve this. You are most definitely entitled to this. Chin up. You're a Princess! Time to go be treated like one! :D
Star, what about matches? And, maybe safety glasses... :D
The welding mask too the place of safety glasses. Matches? I have been considering a small blow torch.......... :s:
OH, yes, I see that now. Hmmm.. blow torch. The thought crossed my mind before saying "Matches." LOL!! You could get him one of those little "Creme Brulee" torches - a hand held little jobbie. (My dh has one - and LOVES it - though he has yet to actually use it for cooking.)
He is going to love that present. It's a GREAT idea... Maybe throw in a single dose packet of Tylenol... a one-time use ice pack... ear plugs (for the screaming)... and breath mints (for the ER nurse's benefit). Okay, now I'm just rambling.... |
LMAO! I'm thinking about finding a small alter - on which to place the burnt offerings ;)
Ok, now I am missing my dad! I wish I had him to do a gift like that. What fun. If you only knew my dad....he would use gasoline to light the grill!
Sorry (again), no time to do more personals than what I did this morning. Spent time shopping for sump pumps and dehumidifiers (got myself a shephards hook to hang my windchime also :) ) . Now it's "clean" down there and I'm waiting for stuff to dry out. Then it's time to sweep the floor. I'm hoping IF it ever warms up enough to STAY dry (As in no storms/rain for longer than a couple days) down there I want to use that waterproof paint for the floors. Maybe it'll help keep the water from coming up from the cracks in the floors. ARGH!!! Do I get mileage for going up and down stairs carrying junk to the trash outside?
