Sick

Ok. I've decided enough is enough. I've got to get answers. Can someone explain to me WHY every once in a while I get sick to my stomach (no, I'm not PG)? It's hard to explain. Shows up unexpectantly, makes me feel like puking, makes me also feel like not eating. Always in the same spot. Doesn't happen enough to make me feel the need for a doctor (as in it hasn't happened more than a few times so far) and always goes away.

Anyone have any clues? Oh, it doesn't appear after I've eaten. Usually BEFORE I'm supposed to eat. It's not hunger pains. This feels more like a stomach bug type upset.

How's your water intake? Dehydration can make you nauseated.

If I drink any more water I'm going to end up peeing a new river in my area. And I highly doubt my neighbors would appreciate THAT

low blood sugar?...that always makes me feel kinda woogy, dizzy and hot.

StarPrincess 05-18-2004 05:53 PM

Or not eating frequently enough? I don't really recognize hunger pains anymore. I have to pay attention to grumblings for that. If I go too long, I can get woozy, too.

lady_adnerb 05-18-2004 06:08 PM

I've had woozy when I need to eat. This is different. This actually is a downright, wanna puke, don't even LOOK at food type thing. I eat regularly enough (usually) to prevent the woozies. So this can't be from that.

Maybe you're just a warped individual? just kidding!

I don't know. Maybe there's something you're consuming on a regular basis that your body doesn't like. It could be anything - aspartame gives me stomach cramps if I have too much and it makes my dad throw up. Lots of diet soda going on?

LOVE2C135 05-18-2004 06:36 PM

How about vitamins. I have to be REALLY careful about when I take mine. I MUST have a full stomach or puke city.

StarPrincess 05-18-2004 06:39 PM

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - good one, Kerri! They do that to me, too!

lady_adnerb 05-18-2004 10:11 PM

Ok. Haven't had soda today. So ruled that out right away. It's been a couple days in fact since I've had one. I've been drinking a bottle of crystal light iced tea but that's usually in the morning so I've ruled that out (seeing how this first episode was before I even started drinking it). I take the vitamins in the morning...and usually the sickness comes in the afternoon. Usually about the time I go to get my DD from school.
;) And yes, I've always known I was warped and weird.
And I'm feeling MUCH better now. Go figure :P

Do you eat nuts or seeds ???

For me if I eat to many (which isn't alot) I get that feeling, some times our stomachs have a hard time digesting nuts/seeds.

Leenie 05-19-2004 09:16 AM

Oh you know what else that will make me sick like that, pork products, pork roll, pork sausage (but not bacon? go figure). Sausage is a killer for me. And I thought I had an iron gut.

lady_adnerb 05-19-2004 03:34 PM

I don't remember eating nuts yesterday. Is it possible that after awhile the veggies I eat (cauliflower and broccoli-raw) could do it?

Leenie 05-19-2004 03:42 PM

You might want to cook them up so its easier for the tummy to digest.

lady_adnerb 05-19-2004 03:44 PM

I need to find a new snack to take to work instead of veggies all the time. Maybe cut some of them out of my intake. Might be over-ruffaging?
