Some Like it HOT
I have been wondering what the Atkins program says about hot sauces. I don't recall reading anything about them. :dunno:
I smother my scrambled eggs with the XXXhot Habanero :flame: sauce from Belize and use the Habanero with lots of foods. I also Love  the wonderful Hot Chineese mustard. At Mexican resturants around here in San Antonio they don't usually have the Habanero but I can top foods with fresh Jalapenos. Do ya'll think this will hinder weight loss? |
Hi JG,
Nope I don't think it will hinder your weight loss unless the carb count is really high. Bottom line to anything we eat is how many carbs (and sugar of course). Is there sugar's in the sauce? I love a mild/hot sauce especially on buffalo wings YUM. |
I've read somewhere that spices and spicy foods help boost your metabolism. I don't know if there's truth in that, though.
Like Leenie said, just watch the carbs and cals - you'll be fine ;) |
Thanks Leenie And StarPrincess, I'll probably be using even more hot sauce now that you tell me it helps the metabolism :lol3: :eating2:

I had a recipe for chili I got from ??? (either the Atkins book or the website) that called for mild salsa. I bet the hot sauce would be ok. oh...I miss tostitos and HOT sauce!!! :D
