Heya all, just checking in before I ... well... I was gonna say take a bath... maybe i should *gasp* work out first. We'll see.

Brenda: I dunno how good they'd be with SMALL children. If they're in a noisy environment they'll have a tendancy to hide. It's important to get them small and make sure everyone spends a bunch of time with it in the first few weeks so they bond with everyone.... the bonding is REALLY important. As for the spines, you can pet them.... as long as you go the right way... go the other way and it won't be bloody but it won't feel super great either.

Ok, I'm signing off.

My oldest DD is 11 and youngest DD is 9. I also have a dog so I'm guessing that woulndn't be a good pet for us at this time. They're SOO cute
Oh...Just came back from "the big city" (the town next to us-which is bigger than our town). The neighbor woman and I went to Fleet Farm and a jewelry store. WHY oh WHY do I tempt myself like that? The pretty sparklers in there!! I could go nuts if I was a rich woman!! Told hubby I'd kind of like a new wedding set but I kind of don't. It would have to be VERY gorgeous and THE type of setting (kind of old fashioned setting) for me to give up the set he gave me on our wedding day (15 yrs ago). *sigh*. But I can dream right? lol.

Leenie, I had that too last year, and it took about 6 months for it to heel, I was really tender with it and stopped walking on the tredmill because it was too much pressure on it, the eliptical machine worked fine and didn't hurt it. Don't stand on your tippy toes it will re injure it ( found that out the hard way!!) But yeah about 6 months to heal completely.

This heel pain actually comes from the plantar fascia, a thick fibrous tissue that runs below the muscle, from the ball of the foot to the posterior edge of the heel, providing arch support. With each step you take, the fascia tightens and allows the foot to push off the ground. Repeated stress to this tissue from overuse causes micro-tears and inflammatory changes. Over time, the usually elastic fascia becomes stiff and prone to further injury, thus setting up a vicious cycle of recurrent pain.
