And now for my standard public service announcement about ketostix.....

Do NOT depend on these! They are great for encouragement, but they are not the end-all indicator of ketosis. Also, color doesn't necessarily matter and here's why: if you're not drinking enough water, the ketone bodies will build up in your urine resulting in a darker color. Conversely, it you're very well hydrated, the sticks may look lighter.

I'm not saying don't use them. But keep in mind how and why they work.
