Dinner in the NorthWest
 

Hey all!

Theo'sgirl has discovered a new low-carb restaraunt in Portland. It's called Uncle Butchy's and we want to have dinner!

Is there anyone else that will be in the area in the near future who would like to join us? When I have an idea of who wants to join, we can pick a time/date that's best suited to everyone ;)

Star! I wont be there in the NEAR future.. but I am hoping to take a trip down in the summer with the family! :) It's only 3 hours (Or 4?) from Seattle....

We can definitely go more than once! Did you check out the menu? Looks good!

Hey, we won't be there in the near future either, but Tacoma is a lot closer than where Karen is. :D

My DH loves Portland so maybe I'll be able to convince him to take me down there... any really good (inexpensive) hotels nearby?

I'm sure there are! TG - you live in that area. Know any decent hotels?

Ooh! So fun! I can fly anywhere in the U.S. for free because of the great perks of my DH's job. Maybe we could plan a bigger get together sometime this summer? It would be fabulous to meet everyone! I'd love to go to the northwest, too. Never been up that way.

I could never get hubby talked into letting me meet ANYONE online. Even if it IS a support group that I've come to depend on (and he knows it by the amount of times I log on to check out threads/thoughts). Then again...maybe if I told him we weren't meeting around my area he'd be ok with it? He'd never come along though. He's a non-sociable creature. lol

Ooh, a big get together with all of us? That sounds fun! Perhaps I'll have to start saving my money.

I would do it just for the fun of it!
Maybe bring dh too for a mini-weekend vacation....but I'd leave him home for the dinner meet.

I'm still here Star....struggling with this plan - but still at my 218 mark. I need to get re-focused for good. I do real well fro 2 full weeks but then I stray from the plan because I have been stuck since Oct. between 218 and 215. UGH!

Brenda - Your dh would die if he knew I met someone online from Scotland who likes the group "Barenaked Ladies" as much as I do...He and his girlfriend came over and stayed with us for 2 weeks...and we've been best of friends since. My sister even went over and stayed at his flat while she traveled throughout the country. It was kind of funny to go to the train station to pick them up not knowing anything about the way they would look. But those were the best 2 weeks ever for us. We ended up bagging work, touring NYC with them and then hopping a flight to Niagara Falls. Such wonderful memories!!!
