If 2 pounds continues to drop off until I'm close to my goal weight I'll be happy.

My point is that it's not consistant. I may lose 4 pounds one week and then nothing for the next two weeks, then 1 pound the week after that. And the lower your weight gets, the more you'll slow down. Just be prepared!

Hi Star,

Thanks for the advice. I will keep it in mind as I progress along with Atkins. The good part is that I am not feeling hungry or deprived at all. I actually feel better during the day, no more feeling sleepy in the afternoons.
Anyway, I have a good feeling about my new WOE.

I think this website is going to help tremendously. Seeing the progress of people like you is very motivating to me. Congratulations to you on your progress. I saw your before & after pics today. WOW! You look great. I'm looking forward to the day I can post my own success story.

Thanks Shmoopie! I'm glad you'll be sticking around! I don't know if you saw it, but I posted my little weight loss chart if you're interested. I like it because it gives me encouragement when I'm stopped for a week or three. You'll see that there are weeks I don't lose, but it's still on a definite downward trend!

I saw the chart, did you do that in Excel? I'm going to try that too. I think it will be great to look back 6 months from now and see the progress.
