We were going to buy a new car this spring to replace my 94 Subaru wagon (was great, would always reccomend, and CR loves them). We looked at the new hybrid Toyota Prius... if you want something smaller, it's a neat car. Then we found out that Toyota is going to do the Highlander SUV in a hybrid for 2005. I love the flexibility of SUV's, but the mileage was a no-sell for me. We went and drove a regular Highlander this weekend, and they're really nice. So we're going to order a hybrid when they come out next year. It will be my first brand new car ever- I've always driven used.
