Mia

I haven't posted in ages. My computer at work still isn't back on the network, so I don't have internet access. Plus, I used to post at lunchtime and my computer, plus all the others that I have access to are on high desks or tables with no chairs. I guess someone in management decided it was "unproductive" to sit down to do data entry or anything else! Anyway, I took a short "holiday" from the program, but am back on and am losing again. I'll post my weigh-in tomorrow A.M. before I leave for work.
You guys are all doing great. Wow! 74 pounds!

Jen

wow! so many down 2 lbs... what a thrill!

would anyone else be interesting in us adding what level of atkins we are on? it might be nice to see Induction, Level 2 or Level 3. what do you all think?

LoriAS 01-19-2004 02:24 PM

That sounds good to me Yoohoo. I'll go ahead and get us started. How about just putting a number 1-4 to indicate level?

I just wanted to say that everyone is doing GREAT!!!! We have so many people that are within a few pounds of goal!!! Who will be the first? Is it a race? What is the prize for the first one to reach goal? Can't you just feel the excitement building????? Oh, it's going to drive me crazy!! :crazy:

YooHoo 01-19-2004 04:05 PM

I added my level... I'm taking it the 1-4 means as follows:

1 = Induction or Level 1
2 = Level 2
3 = Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) or Level 3
4 = Maintenance

Is that right?

"Technically" the levels are:
1= Induction
2= Ongoing weight loss
3= Pre-maintenance
4= Maintenance

I'm not 'frustrated' but getting 'flustered'---I keep bouncing around; hit a low point then over 2 weeks I go back up & down, up & down, and finally settle at the low point after a couple weeks...finally today I was back to 203...is it just me, or do we ALL do this??? Anyhow, holding steady again here with none to add----YET (thinking positively here!)

thanks for the clarification of the levels...

don't know if you're still cycling due to TOM (with or without periods), but i refuse to weigh two weeks out of every four for this reason.

i know the weight gain is not "real" and will go away as TOM moves on, but it discourages me so i don't even want to see it go up OR stay the same.

so my routine is:
Sun-Sat TOM - no weighing
Sun - following Tues (1-1/2 weeks) no weighing
Wed - weigh
Following Wed - weigh

this first weighing puts me smack in the middle of the non-TOM 3 weeks and is a better representation of my "real" weight loss. i seem to be able to weigh the following Wed too and still see loss.

I know we're all different, so others may not have this experience. and not everyone gets as discouraged by the weight gain. but i just feel so much better if i leave those 2 weeks out.

I just can't help it unless I hide my scale!!

LoriAS 01-20-2004 10:22 AM

I just can't help it unless I hide my scale!! I just have to jump on. On really bad days I may weigh 2-3 times! :o
