Ok, I was one of the MIA on this thread...
I fell waaaay behind in my Trek Obligations! But I'm getting my butt in gear! 40 minutes on the elliptical machine o' death today. More to come!
Questions: Did we set up an official start point on our Trek? Do we have any international, non-USA people trekking? I think it would be fun to set up a point-of-origin and watch us go across the globe We could take breaks and get food and drink specific to our current locale hehehe! Ok, I'm a little food-obsessed, ya know. Or we could just get a tee-shirt and some cute fridge magnets! Or a tiny plate to put on our wall.... Hmmm!

I've been a litle lax in the exercise department, thanks to that nasty last encounter with the glider. Warning....do not operate heavy machinery under the influence.
I'm back on track now and adding in 1.5 for today.

i'm gonna log 10 miles for the weekend. we just returned from our trip to cappedocia. today we climbed around in an underground city that was 7 layers deep. the tunnels were dug several hundred years bc. we did that for about 2 hours. yesterday we hiked for an hour in the lower mountains. the snow made it a little more challenging. the day before we hiked for about 20 minutes. so, if i have it right, this would be 10 miles.

Adding 2 for today...I'm beginning to run out of steam ladies...really being tired and run down...gonna try to get some EXTRA rest when I'm off in a couple more days...work is just being swamped lately, too much to do all the time now which makes the 10 days on part of the "10 on/4 off" schedule even harder...I need a VACATION!

Okay....logging in my 30 minute return to the glider. It's so much more boring when you're sober!
And STAR: After the CNN news story about the health benefits of well, you know....I think we should start to allow that as aerobic exercise -- don't you? I think quite a few of us could bump up our totals enough to get us around the equator a few times at the very least.

I didn't know we were counting THAT, either!! I think we could all up our totals quite a bit if we included that... (or at least a little). I'll just add on my 20-minute walk and 40 minutes on the glider, for three miles.

Brenda, The Equator Trek Challenge is open to anyone. Basically we log our "miles" of exercise each day to try and get around the "equator" this year. I can give you a run down of a few things but someone else may have to add anything I miss.
If you have a machine that counts miles or track etc just post miles run/walked/biked/stepped. If you do not we are going by a general 20 min = 1 mi. Jump right in, we'd be glad to have you!!!
For me Monday night - ran/walked 2 mi - weight trained for 1 hour (3 mi)
