Birthday Carb Binge
So, I have been eating low carb for a few months now. It wasn't til this last month that I've gone down completely, 25-30/day.
Well, my birthday was on Friday, and I thought, hey - I've been really good, I just won my dietbet, it's my birthday, let's have cake! Let's get alfredo, and breadsticks! Treat yourself! WORST mistake EVER. I can handle the migraine, but the nausea? Oh dear lord, the nausea! I live by the beach, and I've had to close all of my windows because I can not take the smell of the water right now. Does anyone know how long this **** lasts for? When I can expect a ray of sunlight through these stormy clouds? I know it will take about 2-3 days for my glycogen stores to deplete, but goodness I'm hoping I don't feel this way for that long. |
Drink water. Drink plenty of water. Eat proteins that are satisfying. It is that darn drug sugar that is causing all the havoc. Sugar is a nasty mistress and she will haunt and tempt you . She is a liar and she will hide behind new names and new ingredients just to ensnare you again. But you are stronger than any simple carbohydrate. You can flush the witch out. And refuse to walk down her street.
