Default Newbie Low Carber -- Any other newbies want to hang with me?

Hi! I'm new to low carb and started yesterday.

I've been warned the transition from high-carb junk to low carb can be tough and so I wondered if any other new low carbers have just joined and wanted to commiserate and hang-tough together through this period?

I just want a place to kvetch and encourage each other as we find our way through this! I could use a pal who can relate!

I'm not new to low carb (I've been on Atkins 10+ years) but....I wanted to give you a little tip that may help if you experience a tough time with the transition to low carb. In Atkins cirlcles, this is known as the "Atkins Flu". Fatigue, foggy brain, headache....just overall feeling lousy. Be sure you are drinking plenty of water (AT LEAST eight 8 oz. glasses a day). Chicken broth (NOT the low sodium variety) has been said to help as well as taking a magnesium supplement.
If you do experience any of these symptoms, they are temporary and will pass in a few days. Hang in there and don't let it discourage you.
You CAN do this!!
All the best to you!

MayoLover. You still hangin in there? I'm on week 4. It's going slow, but it's going. Down 6 pounds. Feeling pretty good. I think when I hit 10 pounds I'm really gonna start feeling it in my clothes.
