Mmm... dessert treat tonight
2 weeks in on LCHF, 5-6 pounds lost, and i haven't really cheated despite multiple temptations. I am finally in ketosis I think. My appetite if def down. Initially, I was hungry all the time and probably ate 1700-1800 kcal per day! Now, I am probably only eating 1200 kcal, because I am not hungry and I am enjoying REAL foods, including cream in my coffee/tea, some veggies, meats, gratin etc. :carrot:
I was gifted some 70 and 85% chocolate. Took 2 squares of the 85% (15 carbs for 4 squares, of which 6 are fibers = 4.5 grams of carbs), melting into cream, let it cool and whipped it up into a yummy mousse. I did add a little liquid sucralose to cut some of the bitterness, but boy was it yuuuummmyyy. It wasn't a cheat and it was def something I will make again for myself when I have guests as my dessert (while they are hogging carb laden brownies)...:idea: |
