Hello everyone... i just wanted to ask a quick question.
I've been on a low carb diet for about 3 weeks now. for two weeks i've noticed that i have this strange body odor. its very hard to describe but it smells almost sweet. like sour but sweet at the same time. my urine also smells very strong of the same odor.

I shower at least twice a day but right after i get out of the shower, if i smell my hands, they have this smell.
my clothes at the end of the day smell very strong with this smell.

I havent noticed anything much different with my breath. i could just have gotten used to that.

Could this be a side effect of Ketosis? I've been using ketostix to measure ketones but they always come up as trace amounts only.

has anyone experienced this before? i mean, i'm losing weight for sure (23 pounds in 3 weeks) so i must be in ketosis.

i guess it does a bit. my wife doesn't have pure acetone just nail polish remover with a lot of other stuff in it. i guess it could be acetone mixed with normal body odor. oh well. the way i see it, i'm losing weight, i don't feel hungry and feel pretty good overall so i can't be bothered right now. i hope my wife feels the same way when she comes back from her vacation.

yeah... definately just normal ketosis.i noticed that it was a lot stronger today and after testing with ketostix it turned out with a higher concentration.
