Lynn-I almost hate to admit this but the other night I let Tammy out around midnight and fell back asleep. When I woke up at 5:30 am she was still outside. Fortunately, I have a fenced in backyard so she didn't go anywhere. To the best of my knowledge, she didn't bark or at least I didn't hear her. Kobe always barks his head off to let me know when he's ready to come back in so I would never make that mistake with him.

Petra, Our lab (the most spoiled dog known to man) would be very insulted if she had to stay outside all night. She sleeps on a pillow at the foot of our bed (although I suspect DH lets her sleep on the bed when I'm not home). I always know when she wants to come in because she has a very commanding bark. The little dog would probably enjoy a night outside. She's kind of independent anyway.
I'm hungry today and that's never a good sign. I suspect there were some carbs hidden in my diet the last couple of days. Maybe the cole slaw at the track banquet had sugar in it? I ate the meat without the BBQ sauce, avoided the bread and beans and only drank water. I don't really know where I've messed up, but I probably did.
Leaving on the big road trip in a while. Hope you all have a great weekend.

I stopped at the grocery store on my way home tonight and bought two packages of low carb tortillas (2 different sizes) I had a few with my dinner and then went to yoga. When I came back, there was shredded plastic all over my floor and all the tortillas were gone! I think I'm going to have some doggies with upset tummies tonight. You know how much fiber is in those things! They don't do things like that often but I must say recently they also ate a package of whole wheat pita breads. I guess they like bread products, LOL.

Hello Beloved Lolitas & Greetings from the Land of Modem Issues and Health Problems!

Had a huuuuuge gain that turned out to be water weight/retention - kind of a bad news/bad news thing? Still waiting for more test results - suspected culprit is congestive heart - handed down thru a longline of aud-women.

I've caught up since June 7th - guess it's farther back on your health scare scalmie? You sound good now - GREAT to see you and all Lolitas!!!

Freddy-I love the tortillas. I eat at least one almost everyday. If you can get La tortilla factory brand they are your best carb and calorie bargain. If not, the Mission ones are okay. I think the Flat out wraps also are reasonable in carbs.

Aud-hope you are feeling better. I hope you have a good cardiologist!

Afternoon all: It is noonish here. Where is our Fay? I worked this morning at the office from 7 until 11:30 and then brought the rest home with me to chew over but thought I would catch up on the boards first. Auddie good to see you back. Sorry about the health scare. Same thing happened to our Lily. I'm feeling much better. Back at the doc again yesterday. Everything tested normal except cholestoral which was a whopping 200. I'm going to have to figure out what to do about that. Since I've been LC since January it doesn't appear that LC as a diet plan is reducing my c level any. I guess I have to do some research. Anyone have any ideas?

Scalmie-is that your total cholesterol or your LDL?

I did the dreaded power washing today and boy am I whopped. I ran out of cleaning solution before I got quite finished but I'd say I have less than an hour left to do. I did about 3 hours worth today. I was quite the domestic goddess. I had several items sitting in my living room that I had never gotten around to putting together. I put a couple of them together today-a plant stand, and a portable dog crate. I still have a filing cabinet. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow. Also took 2 of the doggie pictures to be framed. I should sleep well tonight.

Stayincalm,
Before you get too concerned about your cholesterol...you might want to read Good Calories Bad Calories by Gary Taubes & The Great Cholesterol Con by Dr. Malcolm Kendrick. Both are very enlightening.

Tx r.freddy, petra, scalmie & everyone . . . I'm thinking the echo test went ok 'cause they didn't schedule anything else? My Cholesterol(total) was up a bit - but ldl & hdl were still rocking! Always perplexes the docs when they find out I'm "ON ATKINS!" I'll have to read up on it JG! The main blood test they had to re-do Friday afternoon . . . to quote the teen-age looking blood technician: "ummm, they didn't purple top it!") and that was the congestive heart failure test . . . wouldn'tcha know it!*eye roll*

My Mom had a great cardiologist petra, but I'm sure he's passed on/retired (strange that I've been thinking of Mom all day and just realized its been 11 years TODAY since she's gone.) . . . he was a sought after specialist St. Louis U & Barnes . . . thinking if it comes to that, I'll see if his associates are still around.

awww - hope lily is ok scalmie - did she find out what it was?

Yesyesyes . . . WHERE IS FAY??? & LYNNIE??!!!!
