10 extra grams of sugar in a day (10 more carbs in addition to what you were already eating) isn't going to be detrimental in the long run. You
might, if you weigh daily, see some slight scale fluctuation--but it's not
fat, it's glycogen/water.
If you're worried about getting discouraged, don't weigh yourself for a few days to give your body the chance to get the extra sugar out of your system and balance back out--it's no big deal.
The lowest grams of carbs per ounce of Jerky I've been able to find has 2g carbs per ounce. It's actually the "original" WalMart brand Jerky. Besides that one, the lowest I've found is 3g per serving--I have yet to find a zero-carb beef jerky. I still eat the 2g/ounce jerky--it's a great on-the-go snack with a load of protein.
So, don't sweat it--and be sure to check (and re-check, and compare) your food labels! There are hidden sugars and refined carbohydrates everywhere.
