Hi Ladies

We had a scary day yesterday as my DH had to go back to the doctors for the inner ear infection that wouldn't clear.Didn't think we were going to our DD for the Christmas Holiday.

Wee, this time, the new meds the doctor gave him are working and the Christmas visit is on again. Had lots to do,pack the gifts, foods and clothes.

WISHING ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS

I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back until next Thursday.

Hugs BB

Have a great holiday Beach Bum!!!

I can not beleive this week is almost over - I was still running around tonight picking up gifts for some girls in the office for tommorrow's party. I have been so unorganized lately, and not just with holiday stuff. Everything.

I leave for vacation in 8 days and I have a laundry list (literally and figuratively) of things to do before then. Somehow, I'm still managing to stay relatively OP, despite the fact that I haven't really had the time to plan meals.

And more snow today!

Thank you! I know people tend to vacate internet forums during the holidays. Being a teacher, I seem to have time right now, hee.

I know that carbs were definitely an addiction to me. I never considered myself a sweets addict, but when I learned what carbs really were, I realized it was all the things I loved. I do have to look at some things as yes, punishment. I look at carbs now as a part of my meals and snacks but yes, poison in my body. I tend to think of it as an allergy to carbs. People manage to stay of certain foods if they are allergic to them. I can stay away from some foods too.

Hi everyone.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers . My cousin is doing very good considering, he is awake and talking now, He has been a little confused over the past few days, due to the injury to the brain and all the drugs. He has a fractured scull, broken sturnum and 3 broken vertabrea, has had 3 surgeries and is in a lot of pain, but is improving every day. He is looking 100% better already since the first time I went to see him in ICU.

I won't have much time in the next week or so butt, I'll be back in The new year ready for some Plateau-busting action!

Oh how wonderful for the family punce! Think I mentioned that a young gal from work was injured in a horrific car accident with similar injuries about 3 weeks ago . . . she's still in a coma/life support - but did open her eyes this week - I'll be telling her friends about your cuz tonight to give them hope. She has a skull fracture/brain trauma along with a lacerated liver.

I'll be around over the holidays blueyx - going out of town Christmas Day but so far that's about the only Big Plan - can't wait to see my fave neph who's coming in from CA - we're all meeting up at my Big Bro's tavern in the country & know we'll end up playing Pictionary/Outburst/Charades until we DROP. Whattya teach?<<<<<grammar hopefully? LOL! We have a lot in common already - I'm definitely a carb addict - with sweets not being high on my list either - loving the "allergy" take on it & so true - if they caused my tongue to swell I would be able to avoid - just as poisonous to me in other ways.

Hiya laura0 & diva & robin! Any travel plans for the holiday?

Bon Voyage Dear Beachie! CYA upon your safe return!

Hi yas Auddie, I'll be home as usual over the Holiday's. I'm not really in the spirit or looking forward to it as it has already been RUINED due to lack of funds so nothing really special except the Christmas meal and being that I am trying to NOT make food special, well, you get the gist right? Sorry to be a bummer but it is what it is. I wanted a treadmill, it's not gonna happen....I am tired of looking forward to Christmas, being told it's all gonna work out only to be disappointed AGAIN. I think next yr I'll just pretend Christmas isn't happening....

Anyways, Lucky me (Sarcastic tone), my dude is will be off work starting this evenoing and doesn't go back until the 7th. So I won't be able to post as openly as I would like so I prolly won't post much at all.

I do hope all of you have a very merry Christmas. I know it doesn't suck for everyone....

Smoooooches!

Later on that evening.....

I'd like to take this time to apologize for my sourpuss mood I've been in lately. J and I talked tonight, and it was HIS idea that we buy groceries and Christmas dinner and take what we have left of my and his paycheck and split it down the middle and buy eachother Christmas. M is taken care of but we aren't. He say's next month with the tax refund we can get his new PC he needs and my treadmill, down pymt on me a new car and the down pymt for beauty school, so I reckon it's all working out. See what showing my butt get's me? hehe j/k... So anyways, I want to to leave this for all my LC friends!

I plan to stay close to home aud for the holiday - my family isnt in the area. I may stop by a few freinds that have invited me over. But honestly, I am perfectly content sleeping in, cooking for myself, and relaxing all day.

I fly out Friday night for a week in Ireland, so I will probably be packing on Christmas day!

Hubby and I are sitting here waiting for my daughter to fall asleep so santa can arrive

She's so cute, she's 11 and knows santa isnt real....but still insisted we make goodies for him, and she put her reindeer food out for the reindeer. She knows.....but still wants to believe. I think that is absolutely precious. I still like to believe myself.

No travelling here....hubby's 2nd son and family will be here for dinner, but they live right next door, so travelling is quick and easy for them

Roni~ Im glad everything is working out for you

Have a wonderful Holiday ladies

Merry Christmas!!! OMG - I'm soooo glad to be back! my computer took a crap right after thanksgiving and I've not been able to catch up with you all over my coffee every morning as usual! My daughter and her computer-fixit-boyfriend (the Ninja) came home for the holidays last evening and fixed my computer today - Yahoo!

Well, I just wanted to wish all you LC gals Merry Christmas and I will be reading to catch-up in the next few days to see what I missed. Anyone want to give me the Cliff Notes version?

Have a great (LC) Holiday!

Kel
