Atkins rocks!!!

  • This is my third day on induction. The second time I've done Atkins. I only lasted a few days before. I did't get the headaches and flu like symptoms this time and I am already in Ketosis and feeling wonderful. I wish I would have just stuck it out past that gross feeling but either way I think that is why the past three days weren't as bad as the first time. I think I didn't have a much glucagon stored. Is that possible, hmm, I wonder? I really love the control this WOE gives you. I hate the ups and downs I feel when i eat too many carbs.
And not to get to personal, but I'm going to go there anyway, I have been having some crazy female issues. Like spotting since March. My midwife (no, I'm not pregnant, I'm seeing her because of the spotting) suggested losing some weight and I mentioned Atkins and she was all for it. I had ultrsounds done and All my bloodwork is fine except I'm hypothyroid, which we already knew, I've been on meds for that for years. The only other thing was my sugar was on the high side of normal. So it is hormonal (they are out of wack) So I decided to really commit to Atkins. And guess what... No spotting for the past three days, for the first time since March. I'm so happy. The next step was going to be taking hormones which I didn't wan to do. I look forward to staying on Atkins. It is so doable.
