Hellllloooooooooooo
I'm happy too this am. I have just lost 4 lbs in a little over a week. I hadn't moved the ticker to show the gain so now it is accurate again.:carrot:
Phyllis:bravo:
I totally agree on the measuring, particularly on certain items. Measuring and journaling also help me know what I'm consuming - like, do I really need those extra servings, no, I can wait, another meal or snack is just around the corner and I wont starve.

What a good way to think about a second serving Elyse! Just wait a couple of hours then have it.

PHYLLIS --- CONGRATS on the 3 pounds loss!!!:cp: :bravo: :cb: :cheer:

Hey guys! I'll start posting here. I introduced myself here:

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85612

I think I'll be more motivated if I post here every day.

Plan for today is 1420 cals. I'm trying to lower cals to the 1400-1500 range. We'll see. I won't post deficits because I think that's like a guessing game, so I'll stick to calories consumed.

Good luck everyone!

Hello again Clarabr! Welcome to our little thread.

Lisi 06-12-2006 11:25 AM

Hi Clarabr, welcome. I read your intro. I want to repeat what a dif exercise (for me its walking) makes for me. I rebelled against it for years. In OA I had the wieight off w/o it. I felt it should be an extra, on top of the weight loss and food program, not something I should have to include to be on a losing or maintenance plan. (what if something happened and I couldn't exercise? then I'd gain - dummy).
Well, I finally ran for the door with sneakers on last year. I just couldn't stand my top weight and I realized if I wasn't williing to eat less I was going to have to start working off some of the calories.
HMMMMMMMM- I should be out there now. Bye:running:

Hi everyone!

Okay so I kind of fell off the map for a few weeks. Moved out and got a temporary new assignment at work that kept me away from here. I don't think I ate as bad as I could because a lot of times I just didn't have the junk to binge in my apartment. Not saying I ate the best! :o Fitday says I averaged 1396 calories a day for the last two weeks which is below my maintenance but I am worried that on the days when I was trying to catch up with my log that I was forgetting foods that I ate so it may not be entirely accurate.

Anyways as my heroine Scarlett O'Hara says, tomorrow is another day! Or today even! Worked out a little yesterday, deficit of 381 and starting again, again. :D

ELYSE --- CONGRATS on the 4 pounds down! You're doing GREAT!!!;) :cp:  :dancer: :flow2:

Phyllis - congrats on the three pounds!:carrot:
Elyse - congrats on the four pounds!!:carrot:

I have lost 4.5 pounds this week - unfortunately the ticker only shows whole pounds. Anyway, for as many problems as I had, I feel great!!!!:D

MEIGG --- CONGRATS on the 4.5 pounds down!!! That's GREAT!:cp: :hat: :flow1: :goodscale

I have a question -- does everyone here weigh in on Mondays?;)

LynneA 06-12-2006 12:28 PM

Hey Blues! I'm back too after a short AWOL :).

Congrats to you losers!

Weigh Ins

I weigh in much too often. Would like to be at the point where I am eating so rightly I know the scale will show results.

Tell you what, I will hold out until Wed. and we'll take it from there.
Gotta squeeze more life and doing in between meals.

srmb60 06-12-2006 01:22 PM

Oooo I like it when this thread is busy!
Miles and Lynn ... welcome back! Did you meet our new folks? Ain't it great?

Jman1 06-12-2006 01:54 PM

Hey! The scale's moving again! My calories have been better (2200-2300 instead of 2800-3000) so it's not really a surprise, but it's great to see. I broke up with my gf about a month ago and I don't really know anyone else in this town, so until I move back home in a month, I plan to really focus on the weightloss. Let people notice when I get back and hopefully, start dating again soon. :D

(Edit: Ha! I just got the pun in my ticker... the scale actually moves!)

Rebeca 06-12-2006 02:10 PM
