Anyone heard of this?

I was playing around and found this website called fatburn.com. It's a calorie counting website and it costs about $15 a month, but it assists you in other ways such as reccommending caloric intake, etc. Do any of you use it?

Based on your post here, I took a quick peek (really quick) and it doesn't seem to offer anything more than Fitday or Nutridiary, and they are both free, free, free. True, Fatburn has counselors, but hey, 3FC has all of us! We may not be professionals (well, some of us are), but we darn sure know how to share info! And we're free, free, free!

From what I could see, Fatburn claims to have figured out a *secret* which they'll share with you for a monthly fee. That *secret* seems to be Calorie Counting...

If it were my money, I'd spend my $15/month on some good, healthy food instead.

Based on Lena's observations ... I'd chose a free programme and come back and ask us questions :) We love helping!

15/month seems pretty high. I use nutridiary, and actually do pay for things like a larger database, etc... but it's something like $20/year! and you CAN use it for free (as has been mentioned). I didn't pay for it until I had a chance to see if I really thought it would be worthwhile.

Thanks a lot everyone! I've never heard of the nutridiary so I'm gonna check it out. Thanks again!

I've been using Spark People to track calories and exercise and I love it. Hard to believe it's totally free! It helps me stay on track and make sure I meet my nutritional goals (fat/fiber/carbs/sodium/vitamins bla bla), drink all my water and burn my calories for the week. I also track some extra other goals like adding yoga to my routine a couple of times a week :D

It gives you a daily caloric range based on your current weight, how much you want to lose (from 0.5 to 2 lbs a week) and how much exercise you are doing. They also have professionals who can answer any question you may have.

They do offer meal plan suggestions but the combinations are sometimes a little weird lol They also offer suggestions for strength exercises with little animated pics to show you how to do it.

I just use it to track my own food intake and exercise.

It's basically a lot like ediets but for calorie counting only and it's free.
