  • Dumb Question
    How much plain water should we try to incorporateinto our diet daily, not counting beverages broths etc. I think ww says 6 glasses, is the same true with cc?
  • Even if you're not dieting...it is recommended that you drink 8-10 8oz glasses of water per day.
  • I might be floating down the stream!!
    8 glasses of 8oz water is the recommended amount I have always heard to drink.

    I drink about 7 to 8 1 pt bottles because I buy my water in a case of 24. I can't stand tap water.
  • Some people recomend even more water if you're significantly overweight- about the highest I've heard is 1/2 oz per pound of weight. You do get some moisture from the foods you eat too- and if you eat a lot of fresh fruit & vegetables, you will get tons more water then if you eat a lot of packaged, convinence foods. I know from the years I was totally dependant on my feeding tube for nutrition & water, that I can see the difference when I get enough water in the scales. If I don't, I start gaining weight as my body holds on to every drop of moisture it can. As soon as I up my water intake back to normal, the scales go back down. I can't remember what the formula was they used to determine how much water I was supose to have in addition to the feeding tube formula (which only about 85% can be counted as water because of the solids in it), but I see a new dietician Monday & if I remember, I'll ask what it is.
