Yet another Fitday question

  • When I enter Custom Foods on my Fitday, where do I enter the "Sugar" that inevitably there? I see "Sugar" on the food's label, but there's no place on the Fitday lable to put it.

And while I'm at it, the sub-categories on my product food labels often don't match the ones on Fitday. I usually enter the one for Saturated Fat and just leave the others blank.

Oh, and how do I enter the information for multi-vitamins?

Am I missing something? Is there a Fitday FAQ somewhere?
  • Fitday doesn't provide you with calculations for the amount of sugar you have in a day, so it doesn't ask. It tells you carbs and fiber, which it does ask for. The sugar is included in carbs, so I guess for most people, it doesn't matter what the specific "sugars" number is since most go by total number or percentage of carbs for the day

I do the same as you with the fat--if my label doesn't break it down as much, I just put the Saturated fat and total fat and leave the others blank. Again, I usually go by percentage of total fot for the day, so it doesn't bother me that it's not specific (I know I don't have much saturated in my diet anyway).

You should be able to enter the multivitamin as a custom food from the label on the bottle.

    hehe, anything else?
  • Thank you, Jillybean! Still new and trying to figure things out here. Brought my vitamin bottle with me and entered it, as you suggested, as a Custom food. Then went back and did a Nuitrients report for the past week. MUCH better results!

Over 100% on most. Before adding back the vitamins, it was under 100% for most. Way under for many.

    Thanks again!
