Free Software for Palm?

  • Hi all,

I've been using fitday.com to track my calories, but just got a new toy -- a Palm PDA -- and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any free programs that work on Palm to track like fitday does? I know they have a PC version that you can buy but didn't see any PDA version, and a quick search only showed me purchasable software, not freebie. I'm just curious if anyone knows of any. If you do, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know! Otherwise, I'm thinking CalorieKing might be the way to go.
  • I don't know of a FREE program, but I have BalanceLog on my PDA. I got it from HealtheTech. I actually have the version that is for the PC and PDA. That way if I'm at my computer, I log stuff on the computer and if I'm away from the computer, I can use the PDA. They both sync together. There's also a web-based feature too, but I don't use that. But if you are away from home AND you don't have your PDA, you can log your food online and then sync it with the computer. You can track food intake, exercise, weight plus print out various reports. The PC/PDA version is $49 and the PDA only version is $29. You can have up to four people using the software, each with their own login so your information is private. I am not affiliated with the software, but I do really like it! Very user friendly.
