~ Home from the fair ~
 

Well... we went to the fair. So boaring lol. It is the same every year... except I swear the people get more and more ignorant!

I think I did really good though!! I only had a half of an (it is put in my fitday journal as funnel cake because they did not have any elephant ears) elephant ear! Normally we get a few and share them but we only got one! :) It did not taste as good as I remember them tasting!! Maybe it is due to all of the healthier eating lately!! I did NOT want anymore! :)

Do you know they make the elephant ears with splenda now instead of real sugar????!!!! That is so awesome!! I know you still have calories with splenda but not as much as regular sugar!!! :)

We also decided to have dinner there. I had a grilled burger only cheese. I was thinking about the grilled chicken but it was a little costly.

I am under my normal daily amount in calories today. So that is not bad. But, I may have a snack in a little while if we decide to watch a movie tonight. Not sure though. The lower amount of calories today can kind of make up for the higher amount of calories yesterday. It will even itself out. :)

I walked for over 2½ hours!! My family was going nuts trying to keep up! I went for the exercise.. not for fun haha. I am glad it is finally over lol. I am very tired now. I might be heading to be before long. I hope you all had a wonderful day.

What IS an elephant ear? Is that like fried dough? I sense a regional food lingo difference here -- kinda like "soda," "tonic," and "pop." :) .

Lol... well an elephant ear is fried dough with cinnamon sugar (or cinnamon and splenda) on top. It is SO yummy and SINFUL lol.

But... I was not as happy with it this year as I was all of the years before. I am thinking all of this work I am doing lately to be healthy has changed how I enjoy some things. :) Which is good! Lol.

A funnel cake it is the same thing except it only has powdered sugar on top I believe. It is not as good.

I go to the fair only to get a elephant ear! Lol. It is not worth it. I would rather see the scale continue to show negative results each week then taste that. :)
