All this talk of pizza is making me hungry! I'd better go throw my shake stuff in the blender and go for my bike ride. 3 o'clock seems to come around awfully quickly.
See you all on the calorie counters forum!

Susan... Lol... funny how I was thinking the same thing earlier lol. :) Enjoy your bike ride!

I wish everyone served individual slices or personal size pizzas, that would eliminate some of the temptation to overeat. I actually make my own pizza from scratch, so I have that part licked. I make my dough and portion it out into individual sizes and par-bake the crusts on a stone, then pop them into the freezer. When I want pizza, I'll pull out a crust and add my toppings, then finish baking it. I never add things like pepperoni or mozzarella cheese, or even pizza sauce, though, I like pizzas that are a little different. I love chopped tomatoes, fresh herbs, roasted red bell peppers, wild mushrooms, grilled vegetables, and that sort of thing. The only cheese I add is maybe a few crumbles of goat cheese, or some freshly grated parmesan. Stronger cheeses like goat cheese and freshly grated parmesan pack a lot of flavor so you can be stingy with it and not use too many calories. :T Darn, now I'M hungry, too!

Me to!!! That sounds so yummy!!!!

You make your own dough?? I used to make pizza's here using pita's or those low carb wrap like things they sell... they are oval and come in different flavors. I can't remember what they are called now lol. I have not bought them in awhile. Making my own pizza is fun.. and the kids have fun with it too!

Flatout Bread? I love that stuff! I made a pizza with that once and it was good. I bought the variety that only had 110 calories per serving, I think it was the low carb version. But I really enjoy cooking most things from scratch because it gives me complete control over the ingredients and portions, plus I love to cook now. I used to hate to cook, and lived on Lean Cusines and salads. But I've had issues with food quality, lol, and my personal tastes have changed a lot, so I cook almost everything on my own now.

YES!!! Thats them!! Lol. I have a terrible memory sometimes lol. We got white and wheat I think. I can't remember that either lol. Italian is good too though. I will have to get some more of that and make my own pizza's! I am sure I will be able to enjoy this and not end up over doing my calories. :)

I wish I cook like you do. I am lucky I know how to cook what I cook lol. I am learning slowly though. Cookbooks make a difference lol. We do eat a lot better then we use to though! We used to eat hamburger helpers for dinners all of the time! Now... we HATE them!!! They are so nasty and NOT good for you at all.

I am going to have to get some flat out bread though! My kids really enjoyed making pizza and meat wraps (sandwiches) with them. :)

(This is disgusting, but) I LOVE the grease :s: .....yummy....:jeno:

And you know what's funny? My taste buds wrote that. My stomach and head (and all my arteries) disagree completely. THEY are saying, "Ewww. That is NASTY!"

Weird. :dizzy:

Ah Kate .... if only I could get my head, my taste buds and my tummy to all agree with what I know is right ..... hmmmm

TMunday 09-10-2005 03:00 PM

Susan...... does that ever happen??? Lol.. willingly that is anyway lol.

P.S..... You have got to be tired!! 10 miles on your bike this morning!!! :) Great job!

aphil 09-10-2005 03:11 PM

TMunday 09-10-2005 03:14 PM

Yes it does. I can't wait for it to happen more often for me though. Will power. :)
