*July* Calorie Counters Daily Check-In

I'm really feeling the need for a place to post daily. I'm 100% on track and don't want to get lax. It would be great if others want to join in! 🌻🌻🌻

GypsyMoon 07-20-2016 08:23 PM

Today was such a great day! I upped breakfast calories just a little and it really made a difference. When lunch rolled around I was happy to realize I didn't snack at all. Big yay! I still have 700 calories left so that'll be dinner.

I walked 1.5 miles this morning and just finished my second half...total of 3 miles. Later will be light weights. I'm so set on goals this time around that I'm enjoying getting it done!

-----
1,600 calories per day
1 hour of exercise per day

GypsyMoon 07-21-2016 11:41 AM

:carrot: Dancing carrot because I lost 20 pounds!!

I'm so proud of myself right now. When I switched from juicing to counting calories I thought for sure I would bounce up a few pounds. What a relief. :dizzy: My next goal is 250 which I'm hoping by Christmas. I really hate setting myself up with timed goals but I'll just keep on keepin' on and see how close I can get.

Started the day with a mile and a half walk and 310 calorie breakfast. I have a jug of water and another of iced tea to get me through until lunch.

Oh, sure thing.. Yay! 😊

Candidcamster 07-22-2016 05:58 AM

Thank you GypsyMoon, hi everyone I love group calorie counts it was how I started on the site over 2 years ago. On 7/21 calories were 1,741, weigh in was 234.5 and I want to lose 10 lbs. in about a month, very ambitious but I want it really bad.

GypsyMoon 07-22-2016 11:46 AM

Good morning, Candidcamster ~ Hope your day is going great!

I was in a rush this morning so I'll do my first half of walking this afternoon. Grabbed coffee and eggs for breakfast and will be back later with how my day went.

Happy Friday!!! :flow1:

GypsyMoon 07-22-2016 08:59 PM

It amazes me how quickly calories add up. I'm wondering how many I had been consuming a month ago. Today I made the mistake of grabbing a small packet of salad dressing without giving it a second thought because the name of it was Litehouse. Well I used the whole thing which did not even dress a third of my salad..and then I read the calories. In that little packet was 300 calories; that put me way over on lunch as I prefer to have more calories in the evening because that's my 'hungry time'.

Calories: 1,456 leaves me 144 (and I will use every last one, lol)
Exercise: 3.5 miles

Looking forward to the weekend!

Candidcamster 07-23-2016 03:24 PM

Wtg Gypsy, I was too tired to post yesterday (7/22) but I had 1,899 calories which isn't too bad, my preference is 1,800 or under and I got in 1 mile of Leslie Sansone before bed. I woke up today, weighed in at 234.2, but I'm choosing to blame that on the difference in clothing from the day before. ;)

Today has been going well I did get nearly half a mile of Leslie in but had to stop because I have some errands, I plan to finish tonight.

GypsyMoon 07-23-2016 09:29 PM

Thanks, Candidcamster. I've known others who use WATP and really enjoy it. :carrot:

I'm pooped. I walked a combined total of 4 miles and my feet hurt. I need a better pair of shoes now that I'm doing a lot more walking. Calories are just a hair under 1,600 so the rest of the evening will be lime water and maybe a cup of broth if these leg cramps don't quit. My body is in complete confusion as to what is going on.

So my day began well but ended up poorly, I made a common mistake for me, which is I got sucked in by a "deal" on some sweets and ended up binging ugh. I am proud of myself for exercising earlier today. Back on track tomorrow.

GypsyMoon 07-25-2016 11:18 AM

I'm actually glad it's Monday. Sometimes being at home during the day really makes me hungrier. Yesterday was a constant struggle with the false feeling of needing more food than my calorie allotment is. I'm feeling bloated too so maybe that's why. Scale was up 2 pounds yesterday but back down today. This can drive you crazy if you let it..so I'm not going to let it play with me anymore. I'm going to weigh 3x a week for now. I know when self sabotage is lurking.

I'll be back to log calories & exercise.

Have a great Monday!

Candidcamster 07-25-2016 11:49 PM

Hey Gypsy, yeah the scale can affect my mood and how I treat my body, I often get depressed and overeat after a bad weigh in which is crazy! Lol on the other hand when I have a good weigh in that can mess with me too where I do a mental negotiation of how many pounds junk food/binging/overeating will cost me. I just need a break from it, like a weigh free week or month ooh! Lol

Anyhow I binged the past couple of days, I'm back on track today I had. 3 veggie dogs with ketchup on 3 slices of Ezekiel bread, I sampled some cashew milk chocolate ice cream and a couple Clif bars.
No exercise and my calories were 1,858 I'm thankful.

mom2threebratz 07-26-2016 05:21 PM

hope you don't mind me joining in i'm trying to get my eating under control. i was doing low carb/keto but haven't stuck with it and all that fat is causing me to gain so need a break from that. i'm not good at sticking to any plan more than 3 months. so figure counting calories for while will be beneficial

GypsyMoon 07-26-2016 07:40 PM

Candidcam, do you use a formula to figure out how many calories per day? I'm never sure how many I should have. Someone mentioned since I walk 2-4 miles a day that I should be having more.

GypsyMoon 07-26-2016 07:43 PM

Hi mom2three! Glad to have you join us. :) I was thinking of trying keto but have some concerns since I don't have a gallbladder and need to watch fat intake.

Hope your day went well!

GypsyMoon 07-26-2016 07:52 PM

So, today I tried keeping calories low until dinner because I put up the crock with chicken chili; slow cooked all day and so sooo good. But someone brought me a medium Starbucks.. loaded. I drank about half and it drove my hunger up like crazy. Then around 2 or so I had a bad low blood sugar feeling so ended up with a little bag of pretzels and a string cheese. :^:

2 mile walk this morning & plan to walk again after dinner.

Candidcamster 07-26-2016 10:50 PM

Hi everyone, bad day :(, trying to clean it up for tomorrow.

Candidcamster 07-28-2016 06:03 PM

Hey everyone, yesterday was also a bad day...I see a pattern here, anyhow I watched this inspirational video I'd like to share from one of my favorite Youtubers LoseitlikeLauren https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TOqULzeWqI she started at over 300 lbs. and she has maintained over 100 lbs. of weight loss. I'm feeling like I need to "start over" since I've been off track for so long. I also feel exercise at this stage is extremely important because I have a huge appetite but I don't have the metabolism I had when I was larger, younger and more active.

NSV - I was going to eat 2 PB & J sandwiches and threw one out, mind you I'd already ate a enchilada w/sour cream and avocado, plus a ton of grapes. I have the appetite of a very large man, but that was my victory. I may screw up again soon, but not that time :). Keep going everyone, wherever you start is the perfect place, just do it.

Candidcamster 07-29-2016 03:18 PM

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I've posted previously that I have been struggling so much with my weight loss, dealing with wanting to eat everything and having no restrictions on myself, it has been wearing me down so much. You watch yourself eat away all the hard work you put in for 2+ years, in a handful of months. You go from jeans to leggings, and you go from feeling attractive to feeling unattractive and like everyone notices your regain. Whether they do or not, I do, and it freakin' sucks lol. Ok enough bellyaching I weighed in today at 240.9 lbs. which is 31.7 lbs. up from my lowest, and about 11 or so pounds up from my norm of the late 220's. I decided to get it together, whenever you feel like "giving up" that is the time when you should work hardest. Why? It is my philosophy that if you don't have anything to lose, then it can't hurt to try, either it works or it doesn't but let's be real it will if you stick to it consistently.

I'm set to go out of town in about a month, seeing family & friends I haven't seen in a good while and I am hoping to get down to 230 lbs. in the next 4 or so weeks. Today I've eaten seaweed, banana, orange, oatmeal for 390 calories. Goal is 1720.

Lunch was 330 calories (I had 6 Annie's Three Cheese Pizza Poppers 180 calories & 2 Earth's Best Stuffed Kale and Cheese pockets 150 calories) so I have 1,000 calories remaining of 1,720.

Update I ate quite a bit but no binging yay! Lol I had a plum, sweet chili tofu from Whole Foods, clif peanut toffee buzz bar (hangs head in shame they were on sale, I know, I know), half a trader Joe's eggplant wrap and another nutrition bar by food should taste good in macadamia chai.

My calories were 2,256 which at my weight is maintenance not great but not horrible either, I'm grateful because I fought some serious temptation while out tonight.

Hi ladies, I would like to join in. I most likely won't post daily but will check in a few times a week. When I CC, I lose weight. When I CC and jog I REALLY lose weight.

I do not typically set a limit as too how many Cals. I can have in a day, but I try to make the calories healthy. I used to try to stay in a range, but there were days when I was not as hungry and I did not want to force myself to eat extra because I had not hit the range yet. There are also days when I am hungrier than normal, so as long as I am making healthy choices, I eat more and go over the range. When I look back over calories eaten, for the most part I am naturally sticking to a general range of 1400-1700. For some people setting a range to stick in is very beneficial.

I didn't mean to abandon this thread - I was in a bad car accident, not my fault, and am still trying to recover. Once I'm back in the groove I'll post often. Sorry!! :(

Candidcamster 08-03-2016 09:49 PM

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry Gypsy, wishing you a fast recovery.

BTW I'm so sorry for not replying sooner not sure how I missed this but yes I use Myfitnesspal to count calories, based on your sex, weight, height, age and activity level they calculate a certain amount of calories you should consume to accomplish your goals.

lynnkath 08-07-2016 09:12 AM

So sorry to hear of your accident :( Hope you're on a good road to recovery!

I'm new to calorie counting and I'm using myfitnesspal :) Anyone else use it? It's only been two days for me but I'm quite enjoying it so far.
