  • Minimal blather today, but I'm RESTARTING my new run to the goal weight of 125. Official Sunday weight is 134, so that's the benchmark.

    Methodology: Calories In/Calories Out.

Target Date: December 27, but as always I don't really care how long it takes to get to the goal.

This little personal bloggety blog will consist of a calorie and exercise log and weekly weigh-in data. I do weigh daily and log that data privately but Sunday numbers are my benchmark for the week. I will change the ticker only once a week.

    I. Will. Succeed. Amen.
  • You. Will. Succeed. Amen.
  • Hi, Aria! Thanks for the encouragement!

    Quote: You. Will. Succeed. Amen.
  • Calories 08/23/15: 2415

Exercise: 6,500+ steps; 10 min. calisthenics

Was trying for a lower cal count and didn't quite make it. But the calorie count was way lower than on last Sunday, so I'm taking this as a step in the right direction.
  • Calories 08/24/15: 1765

Exercise: 5,500+ steps; 10 min. calisthenics

Giving myself kudos for things I did right today:

Went to class and then shopped for comfy jeans without buying any goodies

    Stayed under 1800 cals

Hurt neck doing calisthentics (it's fine, just sore, but it isn't helping me) and rested half a day without overeating
  • Good job on the calories today!
Hope your neck feels better soon...
  • Thanks, Aria!

  • Calories 08/25/15: 2520

Exercise: 2,700+ steps; 10 min. very carefully modified and gentle calisthenics that mainly amounted to just a little stretching movement

Props to me for what went well today:

I updated my cals here from my earlier post, because honest tracking is the key to my calorie control program. Tonight was not a binge; I ate an extra meal because I was hungry. Recognizing that I am at a healthy weight, I do want to go back to the 120s as I feel best in that range, but I refuse to deprive self of food constantly to achieve that objective. However, cals are leveling down from last week so we'll see what we can do this week.

I also am proud that though in a lot of pain today (getting better, though), I pretty much dedicated the day to classwork and staying current and that will help my educational goals.

So here I go again, tomorrow is a brand new day with great possibilities on all fronts, including the calorie management front.
  • Good idea to keep positive!
Hope your neck is feeling better today.
  • Thanks, Aria.

    Neck is considerably improved.
  • Calories 08/26/15: 2085

Exercise: 5,000+ steps; 10 min. gentle calisthenics

    Today's positive side:

Brought the cals down from yesterday

    Daily weigh-in was below 134

Felt better, went to class, rested
  • Glad to hear you are feeling better...
  • Thanks, Aria!

Quote: Glad to hear you are feeling better...
  • Calories 08/27/15: 2070

Exercise: 7,000+ steps; 10 min. calisthenics

    Positives:

Brought the cals down from yesterday

    Daily weigh-in was below 134

    Eliminated caffeine from diet
  • Calories 08/28/15: 2565

    Exercise: 3,000+ steps

Negatives: Forget it, I don't believe in negatives. There are days we do great things and days we could do better. We learn or we are strengthened from both of them, or sometimes we just use them for a place to rest and regroup.

    Positives:

Learned that I do not desire to give up caffeine entirely; I will just do better to moderate my intake in deference to my bone density.

Yesterday's cals were high but I am aware I ate a lot of things because I was dealing with caffeine withdrawal. It was a good experiment, but one I don't want to repeat. I JUST WANT MY CAFFEINE.

    Daily weigh-in was below 134.

Today I woke up alive, and any day I do that is a good day, no matter what.
