  • I haven't been here in over 5 years, but this was the place I went to when I first started my weight loss journey (184 to 142). Although I've lost 180lbs since I've been here (Think divorce, LOL) I need to lose 15lbs and I've been stuck at 160 for 3 weeks now and it's depressing me. For two of those weeks I was doing 1200 calories and exercising 3 to 4 times a week at 50 minutes a time. (I would eat back those calories so I was taking in about 1400 calories on those days) Almost all my food is premeasured so the calories are really close and I added ANYTHING that would go into my mouth. This past week I tried upping the calories to 1500 and didn't exercise and I didn't gain or lose. I am so frustrated and I just need some support.

    Thanks in advance,

    Angela
  • Welcome back!
    Welcome back Angela!

I'm just coming back myself after a long time away. I only lost 15 pounds (175-160), but I'm trying to lose the last 30 to get me to a healthy BMI.

The one thing I can say is - DON'T GIVE UP! Remember how many times the scale just seemed to stop for weeks at a time, and then all of a sudden - 2 or 3 pound drop? This happens with persistence.

I'm so glad you are back and you have a good group here to support you. I think upping the calories was a good idea. Maybe up the calories and teensy bit more, take a day or two off exercise and then go back at it. Your body might just need a rest. You can do it.
  • Thanks for the support!
  • I'm back after a long absence and a twenty pound re gain. We can do it!
  • Welcome back to you also!
  • Welcome back ladies! I am also back from 3 years ago. Checking in here sure helps you keep focused on the goal. We CAN do it!
  • Welcome back! I also am back after long hiatus, and too much weight gain. I'm at the highest I've ever been... and I'd like to get down to a healthier weight as we're trying to plan for tiny humans soon... I'd rather not be that mom that was fat to start, gained baby weight and then never lost it...
  • Hey everyone. So the scale said I finally went down. 2 pounds (although since it's not digital, it could be more or less, but it's below that stubborn 160!!) Yay!
  • That's excellent Angela! Doesn't it just drive you nuts when the scale won't go down? But then when it finally does, you are so proud of yourself for sticking with it.

I'm waiting to see what my final weigh-in is in a couple days after my period. If I can make it down to 159 by this Sunday, I'll be pleased as punch. The goal is 1 lb a week, down 30 by August.
  • Welcome back! It's great that you're here early, better now than to let it snowball. Maybe with the added exercise you're building some muscle and retaining some fluid. Glad to hear the scale is moving in your favour now.

I tend to maintain on anything over 1500. My body is a bit broken!
  • Sometimes I get so frustrated when the scale doesn't move that I just give up. It's like here I am "starving" myself and I have nothing to show for it. Grrr.
  • Ladies - it sounds like we have a nice little group here. We have between 15-40ish lbs. How about we keep each other accountable over the next 15 lbs? I can't wait to see everybody's prove they can do it. And FYI - I'm always the last one to loose - you girls will love having me in your group lol.
  • Sounds like a plan. I need accountabilty.
  • I am somewhat of a serial weigher, but I am taking my weight every Sunday morning for my tracking tool. I need accountability too! That's why I so heart this forum.
  • I weigh in on Mondays.
