Thanks GoingForGold82! I'm following a plan from my naturopathic doctor. I drink a rice protein shake with berries, almonds milk and flax (it actually tastes super yummy) for 2 meals and the other is a lean protein, like chicken or fish, and a non starchy vegetable. No dairy, sugar, processed crap, and limited fruits. This is only for 4-7 days to get my body back in balance but I plan to cycle this once a month. The doc does this herself. This is day 4 for me and I've already lost 5lbs! Mind you that is mostly all fluid retention, but it feels good to get that off and be less puffy. It also sets me up for better food choices after my detox week :)

Good morning. Hope all are doing well.
Sorry I have been missing. I joined the thread the first of Feb. and have been following a plan and yesterday morning (my weigh-in) day was at 139.4. I had been in the 140's for so long and was happy to get in the 30's. I am not going to weigh until next Friday because I usually do a lot of bouncing up and down and sometimes get discouraged with that. I had gained 10# from middle of December to first of Feb. Ughh. I guess you could say that I have always been a yo-yo dieter, but don't want to be that way anymore. I try to keep my calories around 1000-1200 since I am 5'1" tall. I walk an hour a day but am going to start doing exercises with that, too. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone. |
Sorry I have been MIA. Just working lots of OT. Weigh in on Monday may not be too good. Too much stress eating.

Kristi78 - Way to go on the detox!! 5 lbs is no joke, water weight or not. That's awesome stuff. I actually start mine this Friday (Friday-Friday and am SUPER nervous). But I just need to hit the reset button. REEEBBBOOOOOOOT.
I'm too lazy to write everybody's name out, but - I MISS YOU ALL. I definitely fell off the wagon. Goal is to recover by the end of the month. Doing a 7 day detox and then heavy exercising and watching my calories. Then I can go back to normal calorie counting. I need a push. :-D |
Hi everyone! Trying to kick my sweet habit that I have gotten in to. Still working lots of OT. Calories are getting better just need to start making them more nutritious.

Hey all! I'm back after a one week cleanse. I did Hepatocleanse (ate only fruits / veggies for a week), and it helped me get back on track. I'm at 152, so only 3 lbs to go before I go on vacation. Back to calorie counting for the next 2 weeks.

I'm hanging in here. Husband is sicker by the day and I have pms water weight gain so I am skipping the scale and sticking to my calorie counting. |
