Yesterday I ended at 1200 calories. No exercise because I was sick.

Today I am saving most of my calories for dinner. It is DS's bday and we are doing Mexican. I am a bit nervous about it because of all the sodium.

Hello all I would like to join in the challenge for Halloween! My goal is to loose 10lb by Halloween. Lets Go!!!

The weekend isn't over, but it is going good so far. I ate out both Friday and Saturday nights but was able to get decent salads. I just had to estimate the calories because these weren't chains with the calories available, but it has gone pretty well.

I got a new cookbook at Sams a few weeks ago -- it is "quick and light crock pot meals". I have been making two meals on Sundays to help me have things planned for the week. I am a full time teacher and I teach at two different colleges adjunct so I am very busy. I know it sounds crazy but it is just temporary. Anyway, having these meals prepared on Sunday really helps me not throw in the towel being too hungry during the week. There are only two of us at home (hubby and me) - kids grown/away at college- so two crock pot meals gets us through many meals. The only little problem with crock pot meals is dividing it up. For example, it might say serves 6 or serves 8. Well, I'm not going to divide my big crock pot meal into 6 or 8 servings -- or measure it out. Plus hubby eats more than me. So I just have to estimate, but it's working out well. Usually I have some leftover that I freeze for another week.

I ate more than I intended at the Mexican restaurant, but I think I stayed under 2000 calories for the day. With my exercise, I ended up burning nearly 2400 cal, so all is well.

So glad it's Monday---how often do we say that?!?! Weekends are such a struggle for me.. I did pretty well on Saturday but a little off on Sunday. Hoping that by staying on top of my water today and staying on track will help me stabilize from the weekend damage.

On a fun note, when I completed my daily calories on Saturday, MFP told me that if every day were like that day, I'll be in Onderland in 5 weeks....just in time for Halloween. :carrot: When I set my Halloween goal, I guess I didn't realize I was that close!

Hey everyone, hope it's not too late to join :)

I'd really like to be in the 180s by halloween and I am currently at 198. It's been about 9 months since I last saw 189 on the scale and I miss it so much. My other goal is to stay under 1500 cals consistently. I was able to go out and eat with my friends and stay under at least that, so it shouldn't be too bad.

My Halloween challenge is to lose 10lbs by Halloween well actually it is 9lbs :) my other goal is to stay away from the Halloween candy or at least only have couple of miniature size candy bars. That shouldn't be too hard my kids are stingy anyway lol. Good luck everyone cant wait until Halloween when we all can post are triumphs.:carrot:

That's great! It will be here before we know it!

How is everyone doing on their Halloween goal? 5 weeks from tomorrow and Halloween is here!

I'm staying on track, which was my goal. I struggled to get my water in yesterday, but it ended up being a stressful one. If that's the only place I slipped up, then it's still a success in my book!

Have a great day and drink up! :D

Calories 1300 and 3 mile walk. I only drink water so I don't have trouble getting it in anymore. I used to drink about 6 cans of soda a day and maybe one water. Now it's all water!

Isn't it great when you realize you don't "need" soda anymore?

Yes, it is such a freeing feeling. :celebrate: I know that sounds weird to anyone who hasn't ever been addicted to soda. But I spent a lot of time searching for my favorite soda to be on sale. Then buying at least 4 12 packs a week. Dragging them home, into work, always worrying if I was low on them... Such a monkey off my back! I used to get a lot of headaches, at least 5 a week. Now, I rarely get a headache. I think it's fine if you can drink them in moderation, but I cannot!

I leave early tomorrow to go visit my daughter in New York city. So I will not be watching my calories during this 3 days very closely. But I won't go completely crazy either!
