Ive use my fitness pal but it was to confusing. I know some people get really technical with the exact carb, protein, sugar, etc intake along with calories. Ill be honest-Im too lazy to look all of that up >_>
My husband had a Marine fitness work out book that showed how to calculate how many calories your body burns per day just being alive. For women it was 'your weight' x 10, for men it was 'your weight' x 11
So at current weight 243 I burn(by that books standards) 2430 cal per day just breathing and moving without exercise. Lately Ive been eating around 1400 calories per day(I have lowered it over time as my weight has dropped), plus I do walk my dog daily 1/2 mile every morning. But since I have no way of tracking my mph to get a guess on my calories burned I dont even worry about factoring that in. I dont bother eating my exercise calories.
So at the moment I am burning about 1030 calories per day plus whatever else I do exercise wise. I know that weight loss is science not magic, and at this rate I should be losing like 2lb a week since 3500 cal = 1lb, but yea I dont. I lose about 1lb a week based off of the scale. Ive accepted the fact my body is slow to adjust. My husband on the other hand is a whole other story. His body can keep up with him and he almost always shows a 3lb weight loss weekly.
