I have a theory.
These "stalls" we all experience and then subsequentially freak out about. "OMahgosh I haven't lost in two weeks!! What's that?! The sky?! It's falling?!" We're all guilty. I'm guilty. You're guilty. I'm pointing at you. Yep.
Maybe we're not stalling at all. Maybe it's our bodies way of telling us, "Hey hold up there cowgirl/boy! If you keep going, we're going to look like a flying squirrel in lipstick and flamingo earrings!" So, perhaps instead of panicing and grabbing the person closest to us and screaming like maniacs (maybe that one is really just me), we should all relax, have ourselves a cuppa, and let our bodies catch up to where our minds think we should be. Just an idea :) |
You hit the spot girl. For me, it feels crazy just waiting for everything to happen overnight..yet it will take a great many nights to get it 'all' the way I want the progress to look/be. Thanks for the post, I'll try and be more realistic.:carrot:

HERE HERE!!
Nicely put my friend! I agree - and I am one of those people who does not stress over it and simply chills out with my green tea and thinks - **** - I feel better just for even trying at all! MrsF :) |
Love the post! Good input AND funny. :)

Have I told you lately that I love you? I saw the thread title and then your username under it, and I knew this would be awesome.
I'm also guilty. I have full on fits about stalls (I'm sure you've noticed me whining about it for the last five days). I may tack a picture of a flying squirrel on the scale to remind me to chill now. |
I also have a theory (related): if you're losing weight quickly enough for people who see you every day to notice, they're either lying or you're losing too quickly. This is my way of reminding myself that slooooooow and steady is the best way for me this time around.
