How would you log this?

I went to Uno's Chicago Grill with my mom for lunch today, and we chose to do their "build your own pizza" option with the five grain thin crust, the obvious cheese & sauce, and then spinach, mushrooms, onions, and chicken. I have no idea how to log this, because I would just put in each individual ingredient but when I go on the restaurant's website they don't have nutrition information available for the "build your own pizza" option, just the pizzas they have already made. So confusing! How would y'all log it? I ended up just putting their regular "cheese and tomato" pizza cause I figure the calories from the veggies was negligible, but it doesn't count for the chicken.

I guess all together I probably had a serving of chicken, cause the slices weren't very big and it wasn't like the ingredients were piled on or anything -- it was actually a really well-made pizza. I was impressed. Y'all should look into doing it whenever y'all are going out. :)

I would try to find one that's closest to what you got, even if it has a little more on it than what you had. Or, do as you have and add 4oz or so of boneless, skinless chicken breast (about 80 calories). I would also add in the veggies, maybe 1/8-1/4 cup of each... Or, you could just add 25ish calories for the veggies.

I might do as EricAnn suggested or you may have done the wise way too. I never even ate there. Aren't all restaurants supposed to add nutritional charts on their menus now? We limit ourselves to a couple places so even when I eat out it is easily calculated. Maybe if you searched other pizza places they might have a 'like' pizza that would give close to your amount?

In that sort of situation I would look to see if I could find the nutrition info on their website for something similar and log that... but if that didn't work than I would err on the side of caution and "overestimate' when I counted individual items and added them up to be on the safe side...

I always seem to hear that little voice in the back of my mind that says that people tend to underestimate the amount of calories they're eating by sometimes as much as 50% :(

I use pizza hut personal pan pizza's as a base. They're the same size of the lean cuisine ones if that helps you on size, but are 610 calories for the cheese.

I know the Uno ones you're talking about (yum) and would probably guestimate it at around 1000 calories. You'll probably have a water gain from pizza either way, so just get ready for it. No big deal though. :)

Well I didn't eat the whole thing, lol; I shared it with my mom and ate half of it. I figured the portion I ate was around 500 calories because we buy these Palermo's thin-crust frozen pizzas that were about the same size and they're about 500cal for half the pizza, which really isn't bad when you think about it.
