Down 50#, 34 more to go

  • Hello everyone, I have to share my news with everyone. I have lost 50 pounds since the middle of January. I count calories and try to workout. When I look at my pictures, it doesn't look like I have lost 50 pounds but I went from a 26 in jeans to a 16 so I know I have but I carry most of it in my belly. I have to thank 3FC, without this place, I would be lost. I just wish I had done this sooner.

  • Awesome! We have roughly the same stats.. 5'4", I started at 222 and I'm down to 168. Heading towards 145. I was looking at pictures of me from 2 years ago and can't believe I was ever that big.. makes me sad. And you look great!

    That's where I carry the majority... and yes, it does decrease in volume, which results in more of a hanging tummy.. but the skin will shrink and tighten as you go. Don't let it discourage you! Eventually, when all is said and done, I will consider surgery to remove the excess skin, if it really makes me that uncomfortable, but ONLY when I'm done losing the weight because I don't want to yoyo and lose the results of the surgery. Ya know?
  • I expect the sagging skin and hopefully after a bit of time, it will get better. I am doing "the new rules of lifting for women" so hopefully the core exercizes will help a little.
