My Fitness pal tells me to eat 1200 cals a day - based on my height, weight, and how much I want to lose a week. If I calculate my calorie need based on many other websites calculations I get way more than what MFP recommends. Which is correct or which should I follow???
I'm shorter than you and it's hard to say because age and activity level plays a big part, but 1200 doesn't give you a lot of play room for reducing calories later.
What I did is take my best case scenario goal weight (135) added 5 pounds and calculated what someone that size should eat to maintain. That puts me around 1500-1600 calories a day. I use 1400 cal in MyFitnessPal so I have a 100 calorie slush for things like underestimating and sugar in my tea.
If another site gives you a number you feel more comfortable with, use the other site?
yeah i feel as if 1200 wont be enough :x
No I don't think it will be enough try for an inbetween of the numbers like if one says 1200 and one says 1600 and another says 1300 then do 1400-1500
