Yesterday was great!! Calories at 1645 but no exercise :( But still a great day!! This morning, I ran for 8 minutes on the treadmill!! WOOHOO!!! Huge accomplishment for me, I've always stopped at 1 or 2 minutes, or as soon as I started breathing hard!! So proud of me this morning!! Ended up burning 243 calories and making 1.75 miles!!!
EDIT: Guess I should clarify that I ran for 8 minutes and walked for 23 minutes!! I do wish I could burn 243 calories in 8 minutes!! |

Hey Roll Tide Welcome back sweet heart!! Yep you are in good company, we really do feel your pain. I guess all we can do is try our best right?!
Your husband sounds like mine- they do love us, but we need to make healthy choices for ourselves. We want to look and feel better about ourselves. I wish you great success in your weight loss goals :) Maybe by the time Bama kicks off this year we will both be down about 20-25 lbs!!:D |
welcome back! just like you, I have come crawling back with a re-gain. but i am still unable to change my ticker.
back on the pony we go! |
Had a special family day yesterday -- invited over to partake in barbeque by DS the Younger and his Beautiful Bride. I love spending time with this child, I am so SO proud of him and what he is accomplishing (working full time plus excellent grades in law school) and I love his lovely wife and her parents and brother, who were also there ...
We had to leave home before lunchtime, so had lunch along the way @ Denny's, where I had a half serving of their Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad, one of my favorites, and water with lemon. I made a salad (green beans, wax beans, kidney beans, lots of celery and a jar of artichoke hearts) so I knew I would have something "legal" to eat. My darling DIL had a vegie plate for appetizer, so I kept myself busy with the raw carrots and grape tomatoes and passed on the dip. I passed on the potato casserole and corn and had tri tip steak (truly delicious) with my green bean salad and a broccoli salad that my darling daughter-in-law remembered I like. And I brought strawberries for my dessert so I was easily able to pass up the two kinds of pie she offered. My Food Diary tells me I went 200 calories over my allotment for the day if I want to lose 2 lbs. a week, which I certainly do, but most other days this week I've been below what I'm allowed, and I feel really, really good about my food choices yesterday. Planning and preparation saved the day! :carrot: |
