I had a rough week with family and dining out but I managed to hold it together. Im determined to stick to around 1200 calories per day, consistently this week.

Daily Average: 1359.01 calories
2 pound weight loss :)

Hi everyone! Hoping you all dont mind if I jump into this thread. this kinda thing is exactly why I stopped lurking and signed up for the forum. Hopefully I'll check in everyday. Today is day number 1 of calorie counting for me and my first day in the forum. I have details of why I am here and what I plan on doing in a little intor thread I posted in the calorie counters forum area.


Breakfast: Homemade spinach and fruit smootie with protien powder and coffee with tbsp vanilla rice milk- 287 cals

Lunch: 1.5 cups steamed organic peas with hot sauce and chipolte peppers. Mixed greens with tuna cherry tomatos, sun dried tomatos and light italian dressing - 437 cals

Dinner: romaine with full fat 1000 island dressing, 2 cup homemade veggie chili- [COLOR="RoyalBlue"]443 cals[COLOR]

Excercise: 2 miles 9 min miles- burned 273 calories, making calorie budget increase by 136 calories.

Today's Budget: 1336
Total: 1394 +58 cals

P.S. My goal calories are 1200 base + 1/2 of excercise calories eaten back.

Hello! I would like to join in! This post will keep me on track!

B: Protein shake (110) with almond milk (40) and fiber one cereal (60): 210 calories.

L: Turkey burger (4oz 120) with veggies (40) fat free cheese (22) on a whole wheat bread (180) : 362 calories

S: Strawberries (50) with light whip cream (30) : 80 calories.

D: Zucchini noodles (30) with 6oz of ground turkey (180), diced tomatoes (60) and extra veggies (30) with some parmesan cheese (44) : 344 calories

Total for the day: 996 calories.

On Mondays I always try to stay under since the weekends are usually bad for me :-/

Good morning everyone! I landed just 58 calories over my goal yesterday. And I feel pretty durn good about that. I think it was a great first day outta the chute.

I'm doing a 10 mile run/walk with my running buddy today. So I should be burning lots of extra caloires! Yay. Today is both of our days off and we have a little tradition of an afternoon beer post our long runs together. I think that I can still participate in 1 beer if its after a long enough run. A good ipa is 300 calories, so as long as I keep it too 1 beer and dont eat alot of extra calories today I should be golden. :)

I need to remember how good it feels to wake up in the morning with the satisfaction that I resisted the late night snacking urges and I feel good knowing I am one solid day towards losing this weight!!!

Sorry if I sound like a cheerleader, but I have been months of thinking I was trying to do this and finally on the track to make it happen!!!

I'm not planning on a loss this coming weekend because
a) TOM...makes me HUNGRY and BLOATED
b) Easter Weekend...which means CHOCOLATE.

plan just to keep me accountable and on track: eat low cal (1200ish) this Tues/Weds/Thurs/Fri, weigh in Saturday morning.

I'm halfway to goal though!! So happy :)

pre-swimming snack: walnuts, mandarin, cheese string - 160
after-swimming snack: dutch sausage, piece of cake - 430
dinner: kroket sandwhich (dutch thing!), peanutbutter and chocolate raisins: 470
after-dinner snack: dried dates, dried figs - 80

So far: 1400 calories

Can still eat 100 because I exercised myself silly today.

well, the past few days have been good.......
Sunday was over by almost 200 calories, but we had pizza and well....it wasn't gonna kill me:p but according to exercise it burned 331 by walking (plus did resistance but don't know the calories for that)

Monday is a rest day because I am really busy and don't have time to exercise, so that day is a protein shake in the AM and then juice (with it's fiber) all afternoon and then a reasonable dinner, light. So Monday was 1429 with no exercise

Tuesday was great!! made a goal of walking 5K and did it in 47:48min!!!WOOOHOOO!!! So eating was 1534 and exercise 370 (plus resistance)....

So the past two days have been under and today..................I have lost .6lbs more!!!! YEAH!!! Still 6lbs more from my prepregnancy weight with my 4th (and last) child!!!

I think .4lbs and I will have lost 10lbs so far. Seems something has just clicked and it is now finally working!!WOOHOO!!

Did the ten miles today. Was so tough and that was with walking. Averaged 12 min miles. So my app says I burned 1325 cals, half of that is about 660 so I get to eat 1860 cals today.

Breakfast- Soy caramel macciato- 240 cal
Lunch- Tomato lentil stew with salad with 3 croutons and vinegarette, 2 * 16 oz IPA(I know I was supossed to only have 1)-1016 cals
Snack- Fruit leather 45 cals
Dinner- Garden burger (no top bun) and side salad with vinegarette, glass of wine, 3 of husbands french fries- 726 cals

Total- 2022 +162

Definitley overate on the calories today. I dont feel entirely awful about it all. One of my best friends in the world was in town this last week and tonight was a going away dinner. Hence the wine. But I do feel like the second post run beer was not a wise choice. Overall I cant be too upset with today. Just do better at sticking to the plan tomorrow. :)

L: Frozen meal (240) with chicken breast (110): 350 calories.
S: Big Al's 1/2 slide of pizza (~260), Few fries (~90): ~ 350 calories
D: Zucchini noodles (my new fav addiction 28) with grated parmesan cheese (44) and shrimp (102) : 174 calories.

Total calories for 3/3/12 : ~ 1083 calories.

Very happy that I controled myself at Big Al's!!! :)))

right in the middle of TOM and not feeling to bad. I discovered that this gym TWO BLOCKS away from my house has all of these fitness classes that begin right when I'd get home, so I'm going to start going next week!!

No, I have not fallen off a cliff just having a hard time. The weekend wasn't the best, Monday was great, yesterday was great . . . well except for the damn Cheetos and 3 cookies. :mad: Oh, and I thought TOM was a couple of weeks ago but my body was just playing tricks on me 'cause it is now, no question. Feeling the way you feel during TOM and am hoping my lack of weight loss in March is somehow tied up in TOM being screwy. One can hope, anyway.

Running is up to 3 days/wk and am slowly running for longer and longer periods of time. . . .minute by minute. Took today off from it (I work out 6 days/wk) because the energy has been sucked outta me. Did walk the doggies today and cleaned like a fiend yesterday so . . well, that's my buffer.

Nice to see new folks joining in! Give me words of wisdom so I don't consume mass quantities please! :lol:

Today: am sitting at 500 cals so far (weird eating times/food cause half the house is off and I slept in and feel blahhhh).
