Toobig:  I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s been a tough few months for you

Sunday evening, wishing everyone a super week. Stick to what you can, forgive yourself for minor indiscretions and move on. We can do this! Tight hugs to all.
|
Hi! Just checking in. We had a busy weekend and this week is going to be full of errands. I will definitely stick to my cal range and I will try to squeeze in a few workouts before my weigh-in next weekend. Only 19 days left!
Too big- I am sorry for your loss. I wish you and your family healing. |
I completed wrkout 1 and cardio 1 2day as a extra wrkout. I made it thru both nonstop. I will say the running man for me in cardio 1 was a killer. I got my hour wrkout in
|
177.5 this morning. After more than two years of calorie counting you would think that I could predict my body....but no. I was over on calories every day last week. Every day. Now I have a new low weight. I am clueless.
|
toobig i am so sorry, tight hugs, and lots of love!
back from toronto. 176.4. white knuckle, bengal tiger strength next couple of days go get back to cc'ing. should be back down to 173ish this weekend. revised goal for st pattys: 169. bought my 100 goal gift. pearl earrings, sitting on 14k gold stud/plate. very cute. officially, i am out of a job march 30th. sent 60 days notice to my property management company. BIG changes are coming- moving back home, and that whole food situation is another can of worms to be dealt with. positive thoughts. |
Toobig: I'm very sorry for your losses. It is funny how our bodies work, isn't it! Congrats on the loss!!
Stimkovs: I'm sorry to hear about your job loss and changes. Things will work out! I'm FINALLY feeling about 99.9% good. .1 'cus I still have a runny nose LOL. Yesterday and today I worked out good at the gym. Yesterday I met my goal of running for 4 miles! :carrot: Today was cross-training day and MAN did I work out the calisthenics! By the end I was DONE! :D Felt great though! Food's been going good! Later chickies! :carrot: |
Just did day 2 of Body Rev. I'm sore from yesterdays wrkout. I have cardio 1 to do 2mrw. I can't wait 2 weigh in Sunday after being done with wk 1 of Body Rev.
|
I had a pretty good weekend, although I had to deal with some serious temptation Sunday night. My sister, her husband and their new baby came by for dinner and my mom made a yummy potato casserole (the one we always have at Christmas, which is universally considered to be a heart attack in a bowl), bought fresh baked cookies and frozen yogurt. I managed to resist it all and instead treated myself to a bowl of greek yogurt mixed with a bit of pudding powder – my favourite new snack. So I’m pretty proud of myself.
My cough is still sticking around, but yesterday I finally felt well enough to start doing pilates again. I haven’t done it since I got sick at the beginning of January, but thankfully I could still do all the exercises. My abs are feeling it today though! Hope everyone’s having a great week! |
Good morning everyone! Just wanted to pop in and say I am headed out to the boonies on a job. Should take a couple of weeks. Hopefully there will be wifi and you will still be hearing from me. If not know that y'all are in my thoughts.
|
Did my 30 min cardio wrkout 2day. 2mrw is 30 min of strength trainin
|
tdiprincess - your workouts are awesome!! do you up your calories on workout days? how much do you usually eat? how much are you losing??
SparkleBE - glad you were good!! don't you love it when you're perfectly on plan, and somebody goes and does something like put a cupcake in front of your nose? GRUMBLE GRUMBLE. ahahah toobig good luck!! AND BE GOOD!!! my update: scale: standstill. yoga: 5 days off, made for a rough class yesterday. food: good, but sparkpeople went and took my calories down- somethings' going on, and i just want to find my equilibrium of most food for most loss ha ha. aside from that, on the food front: i'm still being super carby post-mothers house since she eats almost no protein and TONNES of fresh baked french bread (which i love). so i picked up some 100 cal bagels, making babaganoush tonight, and having a very light soup - even after the cupcake that was sneakily given to me today, i will be under 1600 cals (by 12 calories ha ha). on top of it all, my dr switched bc pills on me - due to this crazy hormonal eating thing i was doing, so now im off of it for a week, and well- last time i came off the pill, it wasn't pretty. today is day 5, im off of it for 2 more days, so far so good, and hopefully this pill fixes the issue. AHHH sorry for the TMI, but 171 was good. 176? not so good. this cannot be my bodies happy weight. no no no. i refuse. |
Stimkovs: Thank you!! I typically eat about 1700(sometimes more :D!) calories when I exercise and 1500 when I don't exercise. Not a huge difference, but I don't want to eat back too much. Funny, I'm still feeling sore tonight from yesterday's workout! I haven't had that in a long time, and I must say that it feels good! LOL. Losing-wise, overall I've lost 20lbs, but I've been taking it slow. In the last couple weeks I seem to be slimming up a lot more and losing inches. Every time I have my TOM I take it easy that week for exercise and that's usually when I seem to drop a couple of pounds.
As for your exercises, you seem to workout pretty hard as well! I LOVE fresh bread. My favorite TO-DIE-FOR is the bread toasted with salted butter. MMM! I refuse to buy fresh bread except for special occasions 'cus otherwise I eat the whole loaf in a day, no joke! :D Today was a run day, I ran 4 miles and kept a slower pace than Monday. I think Monday I'll work on speed, Wed. and Friday runs will be a little slower. Friday's are my 5-finger days and I think in the next week or 2 I may make that a Wed and Fri. thing. Food was good. I ate a little high, but got all the normal nutrients minus Iron. I seem to be lacking iron lately, so I think I need to take my supplement for a couple of days. Anyhow.. I'll see you chickies later!! :carrot: |
Challenge Accepted :))
I'm in!!! I vow to lose 10lbs by St. Patty's Day and keep up at least my 3 days a week at Tan and Tone...
Good Luck EVERYONE!!! |
Happy Friday everyone!
I had a good week. I stayed OP and exercising, and switched a few things up since the scale hadn’t moved for almost a month. It must have worked cause it finally went down yesterday! Half a pound, but I’m still so excited! :yay: Cupcake: Welcome! Tdi: Wow, you’ve got some great workouts going on! Sounds awesome! Stimkovs: Aww, I’m sorry someone waved a cupcake in front of your face. I wouldn’t be able to resist that either. At my sister’s baby shower a couple of months ago, I hadn’t planned on eating anything and instead ate like 3 cupcakes… Oops Toobig: Good luck on your job. You’re here in our thoughts! |
tdiprincess - don't you really enjoy being sore for 2+ days after a work out? it's funny, only very gentle yoga has that effect on me?? bikram- not so much. anyways, how did you decide on how much to up the calories on workout days? I feel like, you do real exercise, whereas I just...stretch lol.
oven bread toasted with salter butter, is exactly my downfall, minus the over-toasted, more like, fresh from the bakery when it's super soft on the inside and crusty on the outside (im drooling already ha ha) i can easily eat the whole thing in 2 days as well, give me some good garlicly babaganoush, and leave me alone to get over the stinky factor, and i'd probably be in food heaven lol SparkleBE CUPCAKES WERE BROUGHT YESTERDAY. AGAIN. what is this? seriously??? that's 3 times this week. (but reason 53084 why im excited to leave this job). I'm so excited that your scale is heading south, is it still going down?? updates!! As for me, HELLO WEEKEND. so, yesterday. good food +cupcake+1 bowl of KD+3 glasses of wine, and STILL went under my target cal goal? (when im out, i snack less, and lets me fit into le calories). and scale WHOOOSHED this morning (aka i think i re-lost what i had re-gained. down to 170.6, this is the all time lowest, EVER). Unfotunately, this number will probably go up tomorrow, today is yoga (either single +groceries+ life errands, or double and a nap, no decision rendered yet). then dinner with my closest friend, with wine and we will probably end up going out, so...booze, this can go 2 ways. either the booze will act as a diuretic for me, and i will move down on the scale again tomorrow (fingers crossed) or...up. regardless, i never want to see over 172 AGAIN. |
I weigh every Saturday and Measure monthly, I didn't loose any weight, but I did loose 4.75 inches all over my body, so YAY me!! Only 14 more days to meet our Goals... Good Luck EVERYONE!!
|
just a little mental note to myself, and a request that you lovelies keep your fingers crossed for me. also, this means that i will be accountable for the execution of this plan tomorrow morning.
i will be venturing out into the world of "fine dining" tonight, with a girlfriend that i used to party with a lot. she's younger, still parties, and i haven't seen her in forever, as she was mostly a "party acquaintance" who would only want to hang out while drinking. we're going for 1 drink, and apps (more like dinner), and by the sounds of the texts, i think she has finally come to terms with my situation. i am VERY excited - we are going to Moxie's (im not sure if that's around in the US, but it's like applebees) no posted nutritional info, no "calorie wise" menu. BUT they do make a fantastic tuna tartare (i love anything tartare'd) my deductions conclude it's 128 cals a serving. given that stuff is added to it, and it comes with crackers, i will count it as 3 servings, and be done for the evening. FINGERS CROSSED!! results edit: it worked. but i gained a little tiny bit of water weight. hmmmm. SALTY. |
I just completed wk 1 of Jillian Michaels Body Rev and I've lost a total of 4.6 lbs on 1200 cals a day and wrkin out 6 days a wk. On to wk 2 tomorrow
|
Wishing everyone a super week. Chick
|
I know I am late and new to the site, but would still like to join the challenge. I hope to be down 5 lbs by St Patty's day. It is also the day after my 36th birthday.
|
CONGRATS jmfan, and good luck to EVERYONE this week, with whatever your goals are... Stay away from the CUPCAKES, and you should be fine... haha
|
Hi everyone. We're counting down to St. Patty's Day.:luck2you:
I had a less than stellar week last week with TOM and snacking but I am looking forward to making the most of the rest of this challenge. I have managed to keep my physical activity on track. I am still holding onto bloat but I look for it to pass soon so there's still a chance for me to make goal. I'll settle for any loss and my tummy and hips have lost some inches even though my weight has been wonky... :dizzy: I hope everyone has a great week and I look forward to reading all of your posts! |
Stimkov's- It's funny 'cus to me yoga workouts are pretty crazy workouts! Especially hearing about your 30 day challenges LOL. It does feel so awesome though to feel sore! As for the bread and butter, you describe it perfectly! I was and still am definitely drooling! LOL. I hope dinner went well for you!
As far as upping my calories I basically looked at the calories in vs. out and I just try to keep it right around 800-1000 cal. deficit. Some days I eat a little more and other days I eat a little less. I've been losing about 2lbs a month, which is slow compared to a lot, but honestly I'm enjoying the journey, the exercise and the food! :D On Friday my NSV was jogging outside with my 5 fingers. I ran 4 miles at an average pace of 5.8mph! I was quite thrilled and my calves were still sore today! HA! Today I did my usual run, although my one ankle bothered me so I ran 3.5miles and walked 1.5. hope ya'll have a great night! :carrot: |
Congrats challengers! I had a really busy week last week but have been reading back through the updates and you guys are rockin!
I am weighing in at 198.6 today and my measurements are a tad smaller. I have been wearing my fitbit and I think it has me eating a tad too much. I wouldn't normally add back in calories to my allotment for exercise but it has me adding some back and my progress is down to a slow crawl. I definitely haven't felt hungry on their prescribed ~2000 cals a day but I am looking for more weight loss so I will chill out on the eating back calories. The fitbit is motivating b/c you get a real gauge of what you achieve in a day and where you can fit in more activity. I like it, I just don't trust it's calorie allotment for my own personal weight loss. It is a cool gadget though... Counting on down....Woohoo! |
Completed another day of wrkin out. Had a healthy lunch and guna have a healthy dinner at wrk b4 9 pm. Hope everybody is doin good with their wrkouts and eatin plans.
|
I’ve been pretty much staying OP and exercising and saw another 0.5 lb loss this morning :) My cough is about 90% better, but for some reason my tummy was not happy with me today. Ended up cutting my workout short because it was bugging me so much :( I really hope it’s just something I ate – I do not want to get another cold when I’m almost through with this cough. I ended up going slightly over my calories today. Oops. I’ll do better tomorrow :)
|
Still out of town and still op. Weight is 177.5. Hope everyone is doing great
|
jmfan- keep on rockin your plan!
Chele614- there's still time. Welcome! tdiprincess- I know it's thrilling to make fitness milestones, enjoy it! Sparklebe and too big- Congrats on the losses! I am still just shy of my ticker and readjusted my cals to my regular levels instead of the adjusted levels the fitbit was giving me. So hopefully, I will be successful in getting the 3.6 lb loss for my goal in the next almost 2 weeks. One month challenges are kinda tough for me b/c I bloat mid-cycle and TOM so I have to be very patient and that's not my strong suit. :D My bod is totally motivating me right now. I am seeing lots of definition in my legs and my waist. :) |
Thanks 4Star. I weighed in this morning and I am still 186. I am at the end of TOM. I am eating around 1200 calories a day and working out every day. No sugar, soda, refined flour. I don't know what else I can do to lose. :( I need to stop weighing myself every day.
I hope everyone is having a great week. |

ok so I adjusted my calories back down to my 1400-1700 range. The fitbit gives me a range of 1900-2100 but the weight is coming off too slowly for my taste. I just don't think I am meant to eat back calories burned from exercise at this point. When I look towards maintenance, I will check back with their recommendation. I do like the gadget though. It's nice to see your activity charted for you.
Anywho, the scale finally budged and I weighed in at 197.2! :good scale: I just might make my challenge goal yet... |
Completed another Jillian wrkout this morn. In 2 more day I will be done with wks 1 and 2. I can't believe I've actually wrked out 6xs a wk and been stickin 2 my wrkout sched. I'm goin 2 my friends house sun nite and will be back Mon evening and I'm not missin my wrkout. Then my bday is nxt Sat on St Pattys Day I'll be 26 but I'm still guna eat healthy since me and my friends are goin out 2 TGIF that nite for dinner. Its guna be gr8.

:cheer: Good for you! That's awesome! I hope you have a great birthday and you feel fabulous! :bday2you: |
Down to 196.6 this morning so if the bloat stays away and I continue at this pace I just might make my goal. :)
|

I'd so love to challenge myself with stuff like that but my body has issues so I have to pick and choose which exercises to do. I am actually trying to figure out if I should keep my JM dvds or pass them along to someone who can actually do them. I tend to do better with yoga, tai chi, walking, biking, and selected strengthening exercises. |
