Never give up!

  • Just wanted to share with you all, because you have all probably seen my posts about being stuck at 221-222 pounds for FOUR weeks. I wasn't sure if it was a plateau or I had put my body in starvation mode or what, but I just wanted to share that I weighed today and guess what- the scale went down!

    I am now 218.4 pounds- down 3.2 pounds from last week and 11.8 pounds from my start weight! Yay!!

    The moral of the story is... even if you are stuck, keep persisting, and never give up!
  • Woo Hoo!!!! Congrats! And I agree 100% with the main message of your post. Discourage is one of the biggest deterrents to weight loss because it causes people to give up.
  • That's great! I seemed to get stuck a few times in the 220s, it's very frustrating, but wonderful when you come out on the other side!

  • Ive been stalled in the 220's for months. Tried everything and then stopped being so dilegent in counting. I gained 11 lbs---My lowest was 220. Im back on track and I honestly think if I would have just stuck it out and upped my excercise i would have blasted right through it after a few weeks.

    Hoping to see 219 soon! I hate the 220's! Although this time last year I was dreaming of this number.

  • You go girl! The whole starvation mode thing scares me, and I just started my life change. I am having a hard time getting in all my 1500 calories for the day.
  • I'm not sure if starvation mode is just a myth or not. I don't think it was my issue. I think mine was just a few small things that I needed to change, and once I did they were fixed!
