Need some CC advice

I just started seriously calorie counting this week.

The scale hasn't moved yet, and I didn't expect it to yet.

However, I have a question for ya.

I've been eating 1400-1600 calories. I'm 5'4'', 184 and pretty sedentary at work (sit at a computer all day with a few walks). However, at night, I teach Zumba.

My question is this...twice a week I teach 3 classes in a row. My Bodybugg calorie counter says on those days I burn about a total of 1500 extra calories doing Zumba...for a total calorie usage of 3500+ calories normally.

On those days, I really don't want to starve myself, but I don't want to gorge. I have been sticking to 1600 calories on those days, and often add in a little 200 calorie treat after dinner...for about 1800 calories.

But for such a high calorie burn, am I eating enough on those days? I don't feel sluggish or hungry....

1500 - 1800 seems reasinable to me.

It's not set in stone, you know. If you feel happy on it, keep going and see how you're doing in a few weeks. You can always tweak your plan whenever you want.

I'm with the others. If you're happy with it then do it that way. Like you said, you're not feeling hungry or fatigued, so go by that. If you feel exceptionally hungry, then maybe eat a bit more to help satisfy you.

1800 seems fine for those days. Personally, I would not eat more than that if you're not hungry because that extra calorie burn is balanced out by your sedentary days.
