At work today, there was this huge double-fudge brownie in the vending machine. I've had one before and it was AMAZING, I wanted it sooo bad!!! I resisted it though and selected a fruit tray from the vending machine instead.

Skittles! I was packing my lunch and I have little snack packs of them, and today I switched it for greek yogurt. :)

I have to admit that yesterday I tried so hard to resist but I could help myself to a few pieces of delicious pound cake :(

I resisted that pecan spice cake that's sitting right by the coffee pot at work. I've resisted it for TWO days now. And I told myself this morning that it was probably stale & no good today. (hey, whatever works, right?)

That vending machine sounds evil!!! Brownies & Fruit Trays next to each other!?!?! For the average person not on a diet they would probably pick the brownie!! LOL

Good for you!!

Not long ago I wrote that I wasn't hungry and I had no cravings. Well, now I seem to have a macaroni and cheese monkey on my back. I am resisting. I am resisting. I am resisting. I will have to plan it into my menu this week, making it with a blend of macaroni and pre-cooked cauliflower. That should do it, but for now, I'm resisting.

Somebody brought cake and cookies into work today and left the tray by the coffee station...i was sitting here trying to figure out how many calories might be in the cake (cinnamon bundt cake with icing and walnuts...) and finally just told myself it isn't worth the math and I probably can't fit it into my plan without going over my calories...

I just said no. :)

Countrybarbie24 12-06-2011 10:01 AM

That is great aint it a wonderful feeling to say no to temptation :)

Ok well I had 2 glasses of wine lastnight but 2 days ago my hubby was going out to get a shakes and I turned one down b/c it was 700-freakin calories. I just settled for an ounce of semi-sweet chocolate chips I had on-hand, 140 ish cals.

I bigger piece of Pecan Pie. I ate a very tiny sliver instead.

Countrybarbie24 12-06-2011 04:06 PM

That many calories in a milkshake that sucks :( .. I worked a mcflurry into my diet 1 day last month and still lost thank goodness.

I resisted giving in to my laziness and went to the gym! That counts, right? Especially considering I am PMSing majorly and starting my TOM any day now.

On a more related note however, I resisted the chicken nuggets (loooove me some chicken nuggets) that was available for dinner today. Had a loaded baked potato instead (eh, not ideal but definitely lower in calories and fat content.) I also said no to this huge jar of funsized chocolate. I haven't had a single one and its almost gone by now! (...Am I the only one who is finding out that these types of chocolates aren't tempting anymore? I'd much rather have ferrero rocher or pocky instead of snickers/bounty/milkyway/kitkat/whathaveyou)

That's awesome! I love pecan pie. You got to have your pie and eat it too, just a smaller slice. Portion control rocks that way! :)
