Anyone interested in a "Daily Check in" thread?
 

Hi, I'm kind of new here, though I was a member in the past. I find all the feedback, support, suggestions, sharing of information so inspiring and motivating. As a new person, however, I kind of lose track of the members and threads and I would definitely like to learn more about everyone. Sometimes I read an old thread and want to ask a question or make a comment and notice it is from 2009:o. I am not even quite sure if those members are still around.
In the past, the CCs had a Daily Check in thread that I found useful and delightfully helpful. They discussed anything and everything and there was a sense of community that kept me motivated. I STILL find a sense of community and enjoy it very much, but it is just a bit more difficult for me to connect the dots between members.
Would anyone be interested in having such a thread?

There is the daily accountability thread in here. I think it's the 4th or so thread from the top. You may find this helpful?

Heya talk to me on the daily accountability thread! I am sick of having a monologue, it would be nice to have someone to talk to:)

I like this idea a lot!! The Daily Accountability threads tend to get very very long and overwhelming to keep up with. I think it has its place, but so does a daily chat thread. Maybe we could title it "Daily Check-in/Chat Thread" and start a new one each day to keep it manageable?

(Not to negate the importance or the presence of the Accountability thread, but to augment it and keep a shorter, perhaps more accessible daily thread for general chatter and on plan discussions.)

Hi Princess and Canary :) I did look at the accountability thread and I found it very helpful but because of my woe and my thought that we had to list our menu, it kind of felt that I did not belong there. In addition, I wasn't sure if the content was somewhat limited to a list of foods or it included some other type of info (NOT that anyone would curtail discussion, of course). I will come and say hello, since you invited me in such a charming manner, Canary and Princess, but I wonder if for the purpose I had in mind, you'd find it acceptable to have this thread and not have it interfere in any way with the Accountability thread.
Midwife dear, :hug: fantastic idea, perhaps I will start it now. How silly; I'm a little nervous, but I'll focus on the fact that this WILL be the 2nd thread I have started and let's see where it goes.

I don't actually post in the accountability thread oddly enough. I just wasn't sure if you'd noticed it. I see that there is a new daily checkin/chat thread. I do like the idea! Thanks! :D

Oh, I am so very glad, Dana and Princess! I did go and post on the accountability thread, since Canary sounded like she might like to meet at the fence for a bit. I will be happy to participate in the Daily Check-in/Chat and get to know those who are willing to be there and thank you for responding to this thread. :) I would have felt a bit silly otherwise :o
