Thanks for the sugar tips ladies! Well, I lasted through dinner. I decided I wouldn't cut out the splenda like planned because I was afraid of the binge. But, I placed cookies, junk food, granola bars, and most bad carbs off limits. This still allows me so sugar-free/low sugar foods, and fruits. So far it hasn't been too bad. Still feel fulfilled, yet making better choices. I think I'll have to work up to cutting sugar out completely!! Here's the menu from today:
1/2 banana
1 small pita
1/3 slice cheese
tomatoes/onions
turkey deli meat
1 plum
Dinner: egg white omlette w/veggies
biscuit (my treat!)
honey
coffee w/coffeemate
snack: egg white omlette, oatmeal
snack: fiber one cereal, banana, vanilla soy milk
Work out: Jillian Michaels Blast Fat Boost Metabolism, spin 1 hr, run 20 mins, racquetball 1 hour.
Total cals: 1285
Total burned: 1000
Here's to tomorrow's weigh in!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!

I'm new here, and it's VERY inspiring to see how hard you're all working. and yet, seeming to enjoy it.

Well done everyone!

Hi all!

I've been at a conference in Vegas all week, so I don't have my actual counts, but I did lose an additional 3 pounds. I hope all are well. I will be gone again for another week as I have family from out of town right now. Can't wait to be back and see all of your success!

Peace,
~Lori

Haven't been too brilliant at getting to my laptop this week but I have been writing down everything I eat as I eat it. It makes me feel so much more accountable and the decisions come alot easier. This week has been the worst since I started calorie counting, I had to go for a meal out on Monday and Friday and then a birthday party last night.

I did manage to incorporate two hours exercise this week though. Next week I am going to aim for 30mins on the stepper each day, I am trying to build this up gradually. Here are my calories for this week:

15/08 - 2461
16/08- 992
17/08- 1155
18/08- 1107
19/08- 1354
20/08- 3359 complete alcohol blow out
21/08- 0 so far, got up at 4.45am as I always get up early when I have had alcohol and have only had water as so dehydrated. I went back to bed at midday and only just got up. It will be dinner only for today.

On the plus side I have finally lost some weight, this week I weighed in 4lbs lighter and I am home most days next week. I am finding it easier at the moment to restrict my calories when at home.

I am back after a week of being away.
It felt good to be away but even better to be back.
Monday:
2 x porridge with just water and sweetener
1 x protein shake with a little milk
1 x protein shake with water
1 x areo yoghurt

1 x can of monster
1 x jaw breakers
2 pieces of jaw chewing gum
2 x strawberry jawbreakers
1 x hubba bubba
1 x sugar free orange
1x glass diet coke
1 x cup of regular tea
1.5 litres water
2 x green tea with apple
Rice-200 cals
sausages-300 cals.
Total-1000
Two things about today. 1. I had eaten 500 calories before even going to the gym. This made me feel kinda depressed in a weird way.
2. I made my protein shake up when waiting on my porridge to cook. This defintley helped me to stop snacking when i was waiting on the porridge to cook. I think i will do this from now on.

The good side is my weight is dropping below 70kg. Yay.

Last week was so-so, i didn't have much food in the house so there wasnt much to eat. Yet i got a weird habit of eating crackers and maramlade , not good. Then a friend came over from Canada one of the days so we ordered in pizza and i had some and 2 jalepeno poppers. We didnt have a lot but it was nice what i did have.

Exercise:
30 mins cross T
30 mins weights
7.5 mins ski slope
7.5 mins rower
30 mins arm bike.
1 dance class
Around an hour walking.

My flexibility is dreadful, going to start doing my kettle bells dvd from tomorrow.

Better today:

1 x porridge with water -100
1 x protein shake with water-100
300g qourn made with spray oil-300
Veg+stuffing-100
2x diet cherry coke-0 cals
3 x herbal tea
1 x sugar free ribena
Some chewing gums-this probably sent my calorie count over 600 =/

Total:600 (ish)
I was happy with today in terms of diet. I find that 600 is waaay easier to stick to than 500. I also really enjoyed having the bag of qourn chicken for lunch, there was a lot in it and since it was high in protein it was great. I only noticed now that i havent been hungry at all today!
I also managed to keep up my habit of making protein powder whilst having porridge. I hope to this tomorrow too.

So a good day, despite being home a lot.

Exercise:
40 minute walk
Karate class

It was an inactive day, i needed it. Yet days spent at home trying to rest tend to be the days i eat more.

Random thing, i wrote down the story today of how i lost my goal weight and i felt a lot better. I feel more committed to this weight loss journey now i have left the past behind.

Went slightly over today as normally i have Wed as my blowout day. Yet i really couldnt be bothered to blow out any more the way i used to.

Breakfast-Protein powder with milk-100
Porridge x2 with milk and some cereal-200 -300
Tofu-350
100g rice-120 -470

2 x milky bars-130
1 x areo bar-230 -360

so total was 1150
I have 250 cals left over that i will add to tomorrow bringing up to a bit higher.
Only got 4hrs sleep last night. I ate pretty clean , i think it was because i was very busy. Suffering from a lot of a lack of energy. I will be glad to be back to regular eating tomorrow. Never thought i would be glad to go back to just porridge with water and a protein shake with water!

My best friend invited me over and made super gooey brownies covered in caramel and chocolate chips!!! Ah it was really hard to resist but I actually did for once! I think I was so happy that I lost 2lbs this morning that I didn't want to ruin it.

The week was okay, I stayed within my calorie limit for five of the days. I am still struggling to eat healthily though. Atleast I managed to introduce some veg and fish to my diet this week.

Appetite was a bit up and down this week as I have stomach flu at the moment. I have struggled to feel motivated to exercise this week although have been partaking in a starjump challenge today from another thread. Fingers crossed I am feeling more myself today so next week should see an increase in exercise, typical that I have felt rotten on my week off of work

Today was hard for me as i was at home a lot and i considered boredom eating. I didn't, i read to take my mind of it. I also didnt buy food out of boredom either .
I was able to exercise this week too.
I wasnt here last week as i had a major burn out so stuck to 1200 every day and didnt drink.
Right now im going through an identity crisis (found out something major last week) and for once im not channelling my emotions through food.
I also had a habit of looking at food brocherures over breakfast, i have switched that to fashion magazines.

So all in all a good tuesday.
I can also now no longer bring myself to chew and spit, so
