looks like i'll be making up some of my first week of c25k. it's been raining like nobody's business here. i'm not that hardcore. not yet anyway. the weekend looks good weather wise so fingers crossed.

B(314): coffee w/half and half, 3 oz. ham, banana

L(438.5): whole wheat tortilla, hot sauce, 1 egg +3 egg whites scrambled, 1 oz. double smoke cheddar, spoonful of ice cream....not gonna lie...it still counts!

S(205): shake

D(286): 2 c. salad w/2T. light balasmic dressing, 1c. spaghetti squash, 3 faux meatballs, 1/2c. mushroom spaghetti sauce

S(75): apple

Heya Boomerang . Yo caught me on a bit on off day that day xD. Things did pick up on thursday.


So what has your weight loss journey been like thus far? You mentioned like me you were up and you were down, its really frustrating isn't it? I gained weight because of a total life style shock and burn out. I just finished the final year of my under grad and i only had time to study/assingments and eat carbs. I also had my 21st in Jan, i wore a size 6 dress that had to be taken in! That took a lot of work to do. So after the 21st and a combination of final year and a bit of mild depression lead to some terrible things. From Jan to the end of May i chewed and spat (nasty habit), so my first goal was to beat that. There was no point in trying to lose weight if i was still chewing and spitting. So that was my main goal. I am happy to say i accomplished that .

Next was moving again! After 4 months of being on study leave things got squishy The day i finished my last final exam ,EVERYTHING wobbled from my knees to my thighs rubbed. My belly would jiggle when i didn't move. Now my thighs don't even touch , which i take for granted nowadays.

Now i am finally focussing on diet, first was just getting rid of main bad habits (which is always going to be a struggle for me), now i am looking at the composition of my diet. Last year when i was a size 6 i found that a low carb monitored diet works best for me . I am about to start my masters, i did get a good degree and my first choice of both course and University so aside from the weight issue i am quiet happy.

So thats me!!

Right so Friday:
i had
2 x porridge with water-100
2 x yoghurts-200
2 x protein shakes-200
1 x qourn ham-100
8 x veggie rashers-100
2 x vodka and ribena-100
2 x diet 7 up and malibu-100

Exercise:
1 hr walking
1 hr 37 mins cardio
went out out on a night out

Total 1300 cals

Today thus far:
2 x museli with milk and some water -200
1 x ham ***

The having the ham was a huge non scale victory for me. Normally i would have had another bowl of museli since that is sort of my weakeness, but i didn't so i'm happy.

I also got 5 exercise sessions instead of 4 this week. That is good. Overall my diet this week is far better than my diet last week. I am also seeing the benefits of going low carb. I think low carb works best for me.

Today i have a 2hr journey to belfast and when i'm there , there won't be much to do. The last time i was in belfast i gained a lot of weight because i ate out of boredom. Today i have my doctor who books to read and some pictures of Matt Smith (i am in LOVE with that guy) along with River Song that i need to cut and paste into my diary so that will keep me busy :P

I think the thing with me is, i get to a new place don't have much to do and i can only focus on eating. Which is bad. The last time i was there i went to a cookie place and tried 5 cookies and i ate a lot of cream cakes, which was very very bad.

Im going to get mobile internet and sleep on the journey, i find that the more sleep i have in me, the less likely i am to feck up.

Also this may sound a bit extreme. I was meant to spend 3 days in belfast , but i don't really need to be there till this afternoon. So rather than spend 2 days where i am sitting around and eating , i asked my parents if it was okay if i could come up today instead of yesterday. This meant i had an extra day of going to the gym, socialising, eating OP and it reduces the amount of time i have around bad food choices.

I had a really bad night last night. Went with my SO to a work function and they had an open bar, prime rib, squash casserole, potatoes, etc. So my day was pretty much shot. But I had already decided before hand not to beat myself up if I went OP. So I'm not going to hate myself. Because "today is a new day with no mistakes in it....yet." as Anne Shirley always says.

(B) 4 count chicken minis (360 calories)
1 banana (70 calories)
Coffee w/ 1 tablespoon of FF creamer (30)

Total: 460 calories

(L) 2 slices of whole wheat bread (140 calories)
Mustard (5 calories)
baby spinach (20 calories)
4 slices of deli turkey (70 calories)
1 slice of pepperjack cheese (90 calories)

Total: 325 calories

(D) Chicken Chili Tacos - recipe from 3FC (2 of them = 548)
Homemade Salsa - (27 calories for 1/2 cup)
Michelob Ultra (95 calories)

Running for 30 minutes = 437 calories

Hey guys! I've been perusing this board for years, but I hardly ever post my calorie intake. For me it's harder to see my weekly progress when my calorie posts aren't consecutive, like posting on this board. So I've decided to keep accountable by making a a blog, http://thelast10go.blogspot.com/ . I've been trying to lose 10 pounds, for oh I don't know, two years now.

Hopefully with all of your support I will be able to do it. Thanks!

I hope you had a nice time at the work function . The key to loosing weight and keeping it off is to never let a tiny little slip let you go OP. Like each moment is a chance to start afresh

@madridguiri I know the exact feeling!! If only i could loose those last 10 lbs too, i would be a very happy woman!!

So my trip to Belfast....
WAS FULL OF SOO MANY NON SCALE VICTORIES

I am basing this on my last trip to belfast to i am going to a little thing of then (June 24th 25th 2011) and now (Sept 17th-18th 2011)

1. Clothes-Same pair of Jeans-
Then-So tight they cut of circulation
Now-They were slipping down
2. At the bus/Train station -
Then: Eat out of boredom at the train station and then buy stuff on the train and eat again out of boredom
Now: Bought a couple of magazines and a cup of tea. Read the magazines on the train and drank the tea at the station

3. Hanging out in Belfast
Then: Go off and find some food place and buy the food i haven't seen
Now: Go to clothes shops/CD shops and buy CDS (got 6 CDs for 20 pound)

4. Meal with family
Then: Eat ALL THE THINGS
Now: Got a side order of veg for my starter, got a veggie main, had 3 tablespoons of dessert and drank around 2 litres of water

5. Breakfast buffet
(It hit me i have a weakeness for a buffet)
Then: EAT ALL THE THINGS
Now: Went to a nearby cafe, got a pasta salad which was 300 cals and a cup of tea. By going to the cafe i could only have one portion of the salad, at the buffet there was nothing to stop me going back repeatedly for lots of food

6. Drive back at a garage
Then: Buy chocolate and pick at it, especially when i came across something i haven't seen before
Now: Got 50 sheets of edible paper for 200 cals and managed to avoid the chocolate bar i hadn't tried before

7. Exercise
After a long day of travelling
Then: Nothing
Now: 30 mins exercise bike and 20 mins kettle bells

Its Monday now so back on plan
So far today:
2 x Museli with just water -100
1 x pack of qourn ham-100
6 x qourn sausages -360

It also hit me i haven't eaten chocolate in 3 days and it dosen't bother me at all

Tuesday:
100-Porridge with water

300-Bacon things
100-Protein shake

Bought a salad and my treat for tomorrow. I also have gotten better at NOT making food the be all and end all of my life. I am also thinking that every bite over my daily cals=fat.

So exercise did 45 mins cross T and 45 mins arm bike. I plan on doing my kettle netics and then doing a karate class.

I went shopping today and got jeans in a size 6,

intake:

- 2 poptarts (at 5 in the morning in a delirious state..ughh) 400
- 1 english muffin - 150, 1 egg - 70, 1 slice cheese - 100

Total -300 ish
Treat- 1 areo with salad-300 cals
Carbs-200 rice (800)
2 burgers (40gs protein) with chilli sauce -300 cals
1 protein shake and chewing gum-300 cals
Total-1400

1 cup of tea

Now today was a big non scale victory and compared to last week it was huge. I for once didn’t but a multi pack of something and pick at it.

I also had 2 non scale victories when i was out shopping today. I was out and i picked up these chocolate bars, but i put them down. I figured i could use th e money to buy a paper instead

Since boredom eating is a huge thing for me, i was happy that the paper kept me busy for around 30 mins versus the 10 secs if i had of gotten the chocolate bar.

This week is my last week of sitting around (i've had 5 months of it) and it has been a struggle. Like i challenge anyone with food issues to see how they cope with more free time than they are used to , and having to study a lot.

Like today i am very happy about the fact that i didn't go around buy a multipack of bars or whatever. I didn't even think about it until the day was just about over. This was big for me as i used to have a habit of bingeing every Wed, then i managed to do things to stop this, so now i dont do it anymore

I also have been wearing size 6 jeans the past few days.

Exercise:

1 hr cardio

Haven't been able to get online for a couple days.... some of those days were OP, some were not.

on to todays menu:

2x sunnyside up eggs - 180
1x Toast - 85
1 tbsp margarine - 90
1 cup skim ilk - 90

2x whole oat flat bread tortillas - 180
1/2 cup romaine lettuce - 4
1/2 cup tomatoes - 16
1 tbsp green onion - 4
1/3 cup cheese - 110
2 tbsp salsa - 18
1/2 cup chick peas - 140

Total so far = 917

Definately room for another snack in there... thankfully!

today was a weird day, but also the weekends are typically strange...either I'm not eating enough or stopping myself from eating too much...

after attending a ww meeting in town--yes I'm counting calories but I'm an at-work WW member until November comes...I went to see a realtor to finalize putting the house up for sale...then to pick up spackle to finish up some work in the house -- it kills me I have to do that to sell it...but it is something that was being done before the decision to sell....so I must continue

between that and some other financial butt whipping, I'm amazed I've been able to even follow a diet let alone lose weight...

I ate 2 slices of whole grain bread, land o lakes 2% american cheese, fresh salsa, peanut butter, 1/2 banana <--- that was brunch which I broke down into two separate half "sandwiches" because I had been going for hours and couldn't decide which one to eat...at least I got fruit, veg, dairy and grain into one meal that covered two meals....so not so bad

a cup of tea with skim milk, a cup of coffee with skim milk....

and I wasn't even gong to eat dinner...I was tired and took a nap

later, decided I had to eat something and was only concerned with the calories and not the composition of the meal, so a visit to the pantry yielded...1 can of campbell's road house chili, 1 slice of 2% cheese melted on top, and a handful of taco chips

When I added up the "damage" I still managed to stay below 1400 calories for the day, so I'm ok with it. I'm thinking sometimes it can be a calorically ok day, even if it wasn't the best choices. During the week, I'm quite good about eating healthy breakfast and salads for lunch and a sensible dinner....so I will forgive myself today.

Hi all! I really have been bad lately. Over the course of a month I was only OP 5 days. I really felt terrible when I weighted-in today and gained a few. I feel pretty depressed right now over this. But I must start counting again. I think if I post on here it might help me stick to it again. I'm going to stick with 1300 calories with exercise of course.

I am done for the day, can't eat anymore. Think I might have another cold coming on.. darn persistant sore throat! I went grocery shopping today and got a bunch of goodies. I avoided the frozen aisles to try to eat more healthy.
