Figuring out calories without nutrition facts?

  • I've been on Atkins but recently I've been doing more of an "eat whatever but not too much" plan until we go grocery shopping while loosely calorie counting to make sure I'm not overeating. We're ordering pizza tonight from a local restaurant which is to die for but they don't have a website with nutrition facts. How do I count those calories? Should I just eat two medium pieces with a salad and not worry too much about it? All I've had today are two bunless turkey burgers with some green sauce, cheese, olives, and jalapenos, so I haven't had too many calories.
  • If it's comparable to a different restaurant like pizza hut or dominos, you could look up and use their information so you'll at least have a general idea of what you're looking at nutrition wise.

Exactly what I was going to say. I actually do this a lot and I think for the most part, using a similar product works very well.
