I drink a ton of water, eat clean food (lots of fruit, veggies, whole grains) and exercise 4-5 times per week. With this regiment I am not regular either...I can not "go" for a couple days. When I ate like crap, I was regular! Go figure. I resorted to taking milk of magnesia a couple times a week to keep things going better. It's gentle and I have no side effects.

Also if you have started to take a multivitamin, check if it has a lot of iron or calcium in it! Oh God, I was miserable until I figured that out. Some vitamins include ingredients which counteracts this problem, and I switched from one that did, to one that didn't without realizing.
