OnLine Food Journals

I have been trying fitday.com... but am getting frustrated. I feel like so many of the foods are not the "right" calorie counts.

Anyone have a suggestion for an online calorie counter? The thing I like about fitday is the ability to type in and save some of my own items. But don't want to have to do that with EVERY item.

I really like my fitness pal, if you have a smart phone you can even scan the barcode of an item you are eating!

that sound neat- but, I don't have a smart phone.

I'll check out livestrong....

any other suggestions.

If you have an iphone I love using the food burner app. You can either type the food in or just scan the barcode of the pack your eating and it tots the totals up for you.

my fitness pal is amazing. I compare the nutrition facts of what I eat to what they have and they have all been correct. It will even says the number of times it has been checked by other users. I also looooveee the support community there. Anytime I have a question I get so many great answers. I love have tha droid app as well. Every food that I have entered in the past month has been in the list. I tried calorie count and they were did not have a good selection.

I've tried iChange and SparkPeople, ultimately rejecting both because I get REALLY frustrated when things are hard to change. Also, I have no need for another support community outside 3FC! :D

So that's two weeks of calorie tracking now lost on those sites. Ah well. I've transferred to LoseIt and I actually like it a lot -- very simple & intuitive, great charts, and most of all *extremely* efficient nutrient-input interface. It doesn't track random vitamins, though, so if you're watching random things like that, or need support, it's not so great. But basically every basic & restaurant food is on their database, so I have no complaints.

I'm definitely going to jump on the "My Fitness Pal" bandwagon. I love it there!!! I enjoy that it has a great majority of things from my local supermarket and most things are accurate when I check it against the nutrition label.
