do the calories listed on tinned fish assume you are consuming the oil (and not pouring it off?)

Good question. I am not sure. My instinct says it assumes you are draining at least part of the oil but this may not be true.

I always buy tinned fish, tuna for example packed in water. That way I do not have to worry about it and it is lower in calories also.
