LOL...actually, no experiment, just HUNGER!!!! I was making pizza for my daughter last night...it smelled soooo good, and I thought, "heck...it's been a while since I had me some Digiorno...why not???"

Since this is my TOM week...not sure what I'll find as far as weight goes. However, I did weigh myself yesterday morning just to see how many TOM pounds I gained, but my weight was 170.4 (so only .2 lbs gained???). This morning I feel bloated, so I know I'm sporting at least an extra pound of water weight today. Not gonna get on the scale today. I will, however, run 5 miles (by hook/crook) today...and weigh myself tomorrow! I'll report my findings here.

BTW, that pizza was OUTRAGEOUSLY good!

Well, no worries, everytime you shake up your meals and have a higher day, your body rewards you, so I am sure you will be fine! MMM... DiGiorno... so gooood! LOL. I so wish my portion control switch worked.. OH well. No pizza for me. I need at least 3-4 slices! LOL!

Have a good run. I will be back in the gym today!!! Hopefully, no aches, no pains and I can get a good workout. Gotta keep pushing to get under 145! OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just looked at my calendar.... All I have left is 11 days. I gotta push!

Ok...so got on the scale and 170.8. The day before my high calorie day was 170.4....so a water weight gain of only .4 lbs....not bad considering I'm still on my TOM and carrying a bit of bloat. I should be down to 168 by next weigh-in day (Monday), if my theory is correct....

Breakfast - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin, 1 Jimmy Dean Turkey sausage patty - 199 cals.
Snack - Atkins Protein Bar - 240 cals.
Lunch - Homemade Chili, corn & green beans - 406 cals.
Snack - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin - 139 cals.
Dinner - Sesame Chicken over rice sticks, green bean almondine - 400 cals.
Snack - Activia Light Yogart - 70 cals.
Snack - 1 cup fresh pineapple (155g) - 78 cals.

Total Calories: 1,532 cals.

EXERCISE:

Running - 3.4 Miles (cut run off short as I want to try again tomorrow for 5+ miles..also running late for job interview..lol)

Note: Will run again today...going for 4+ miles today!!! Running helps get rid of bloat and excess water and just generally makes me feel better, especially during this TOM!

I am so excited about you getting out of the 170's and getting into the 160's!!! Happy times. I think this is a great that the pizza didn't even affect you!!! One thing that I LOVE about you is that you have no fear of food and you work your plan wonderfully. I think I get so overly stressed about going off plan that I put my body in a stressed state and I gain as soon as the fork hits my tongue! I mean, reallly, I need to not go crazy if I have something here and there especially how hard I workout. I told you that I am going to work on that and join your experiment.. I definitely will be doing that soon because that will help tremendously when I just feel the need to go off plan. I don't want to freak out or feel like I have to eat everything in sight because I dont know when the next time will be that I allow myself a treat.... and maybe I can get rid of the GUILT as well!!!!! The more I follow your journey, the closer I get to trying it myself!

Keep going!

THANKS Dedikayted!! THIS^^ is the whole purpose of the "cheat meal"...no GUILT! It's really good for your mind as well...just knowing you CAN have that one meal per week takes some of the "guilty pleasure" away...and completely removes the "desperation" that comes with consistent DENIAL. Trust me...I know...I used to GO OFF plan and consume quantities of food that would make a cow sick! That's because I had the "I have to get it all in" attitude.

Today's weigh-in: 170.0. Seems I'm on track to be in the 160's (168 hopefully, if I'm right) by Monday!

Breakfast - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin, 1 Jimmy Dean Turkey sausage pattie - 199 cals.
Snack - Atkins Protein Bar - 240 cals.
Lunch - Shepherd's Pie, peas & carrots - 354 cals.
Snack - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin - 139 cals.
Snack - Small orange - 45 cals.
Dinner - Jamaican Curried Chicken Thighs over spicey Carribbean black eyed peas and Plantain, steamed spinach - 447 cals.
Snack - 1/2 oz unsalted cashews - 80 cals.
Snack - Picking at a Whole Roasted Chicken breast meat, few raisins - 60 cals.

Total Calories: 1,564 cals.

EXERCISE:

NO EXERCISE TODAY...donno, but just felt I needed to take the day off today...so I did. Ended up slow roasting a whole chicken (for my daughter mostly). It came out soooo delishous...which brings me to my next recommendation...Mrs. Dash for Chicken...OUTRAGEOUS! Just use Mrs. Dash for Chicken, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp corriander, 1/2 tsp salt (yes for entire bird that's all you need), fresh ground pepper. Season both sides and pop in the oven for 2 hrs at 350 degrees (turn over when brown on one side) and viola...delishous bird! Just remember, don't eat the skin!

I plan on going for another "long" run today...at least 5 miles.

Again, I don't normally weigh in everyday, but after a CHEAT MEAL, I like to log my weight daily to see it's effects. Today's weigh-in 169.4. FINALLY in the 160's!!!! Woot! Woot!

Breakfast - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin, 1 Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Pattie - 199 cals.
Snack - NONE
Lunch - Mexican Picadillo, Agave Glazed Plantains - 435 cals.
Snack - 1/2 oz unsalted cashews - 80 cals.
Snack - Pumpkin Raisin Muffin - 139 cals.
Dinner - Homemade Chili, corn & green beans - 406 cals.
Snack - small orange, few raisins - 80 cals.
Snack - 1/2 ox unsalted cashews + few raisins - 100 cals.

Total Calories: 1,439 cals.

EXERCISE:

Running - 5.3 miles (HARD...very HARD run today...but I made it!)

I WILL run 5+ miles today by hook/crook! Grrrrhhhhh!!!!

Ok...so, believe it or not, it seems I only have enough food frozen for about 8 more days or so. This means, time to do some MORE COOKING..YEAHHHH!!! It's going to be INDIAN and THAI week. It was hard to find some of the indian spices like Garam Masala, and red curry paste (Thai), but I finally DID!!! This is what I plan to make:

1. Teriyaki Pork tenderloin (yes, for another go around....this was GOOD!)
2. Sesame Chicken (another repeater - but again DELISH!)
3. Thai Stir fry chicken
4. Indian curry chicken or some kind of masala style dish
5. Jamaican curry chicken (have some leftover carribean black eyed peas in freezer to go with this again...YUM!)
6. Salmon dish - not sure but I'm looking for a nice red pepper coulis to go over my grilled salmon dish.

LOTS of cooking, I know...but you have to plan ahead if your going to succeed...right? Let's face it, I LOVE TO EAT GOOD FOOD...ergo, I LOVE TO COOK!

No Exercise today...Cooked ALL DAY!!! Everything came out sooo tasty! Only one DUD...can't seem to make fluffy sweet potato pancakes!!! Followed a recipe to the "T" and it still came out like dough! Today...cooking!!!
