Got my new scale

  • It got my new bathroom scale and food scale today. I think they are both great. I think I am really gonna like using the food scale for accuracy. I am a little disappointed that my old scale was so far off. I had to move my ticker up 5 pounds. I expected it so it's not a shock, it just sucks to move my ticker back. It feels like a setback although it's not like I've actually gained the weight and my clothes are still fitting better.

Oh well, on to next week....
  • I have never used a food scale but maybe should try it. I also got a new bathroom scale recently because mine was giving me all sorts of crazy numbers & like you I instantly gained 5 lbs :\ keep it up tho!
  • Yeah, I know now why I weigh so heavy at my doc's office. I have to shake this off though. I sort of let it(and some candy) derail me this weekend and now I have to get back on track. I really don't feel motivated but I am hoping the motivation will come again when I get a few days down and see the new scale move.
  • I would love to get one of the newer digital scales that show every ounce you lose (mine only weighs in 1/2 pounds), but I'm a scared to see a gain on it.

Maybe once I get down to goal weight I'll work up enough courage to do so.
  • I wouldnt like one that was in half pound increments. It would drive me batty, even thought its just a number. My original scale was in .2 increments, and the new one I got a few weeks ago is in .1 increments. At this point, the weight loss is much slower, so it helps to be able to see just a 1/10 difference. My only problem with the scale I have is that it does seem to have memory in it..so I have to reset it quite frequently. is no big deal..I grab the bag of cat food from under the sink, weight myself holding it, then reweight without it..the extra 10 pounds makes it forget the old number and start fresh.
Before I realised it did that though, it was driving me crazy!
